Hello everyone, my name is Julie and on Thrilled Thrifter you will find that I absolutely love thrift shopping.(Especially for home decor!) I share all things thrift here on my channel to teach you how to go thrifting for your home, family and friends. {I'm not a reseller!} I mostly thrift at Goodwill, yard/garage sales, FB marketplace, antique stores, estate sales and so many other local thrift stores. I believe you can make your home beautiful on a thrifty budget! I will take you on so many thrift with me shopping trips, share my thrift hauls and almost always show you how to use thrift finds in your home. I post every Friday and sometimes on Tuesday. I’m with a lot of other people,about what has happened to prices at Goodwill - I’ve just completely quit going to them- I really believe if people would quit supporting them the prices would go down😡 So sad that items that are donated are resold at prices most people can’t afford!
We agree with you , my wife stop going as well .
People quit giving to them. Give your stuff to churches.
Do not support them. Their executive payroll is unreal.

Congrats Elizabeth, we are all so proud of you too❤. I’ve noticed that even estate sales here are lots cheaper than thrift shops lately. I got six ironstone butter pats today for .50 for all six and everything else I bought was $2 or less for antiques. For anyone that loves the old blue dishes or flow blue China was only $1 each. I have my mom’s but thought wow, what a great price. Love your awesome finds and how you styled them❤. Love your primitive “pencil” Santa!

I went to my Goodwill today. I was surprised at how empty it was. There were 2 small shelves of housewares and that was it. There was a dirty furniture section and clothes galore. I went to check out the linens, and there was a 10 foot section of curtains. No tablecloths, towels, blankets, comforters, or quilts. We have a great local ministry that has 2 locations, and I think people are donating more to them. They are stocked and have items that sell. Goodwill and my local shop had good prices today, but my local shop had much better selections.

I feel goodwill is ruining itself by the high prices! I wish that people would ban together and refuse to purchace items from them. That would send a message loud and clear about their prices. Maybe they would lower them!

Yes Goodwill acts like they are an Antique store. They get donated items not purchased items. The only thing I can think why is minimum wage has gone up in the last four years.

Sadly, even my local church thrift shop is becoming ridiculous with the pricing. The Goodwill's in my area have become high priced and the stuff they have isn't moving because no one want's what they have.
