Thanks for watching! If you want more cottagecore sewing shenanigans, you can find that here (Making a Cottagecore Outfit from Scrap Fabric) : czcams.com/video/dnutGcsBQb8/video.html
To correct your straps...you can detach and reattach in a crossover in the back if there's enough fabric...or detach from the front and use a coordinating fabric to lengten your straps to make it look intentional and cross them over...or you can add a strap between the two straps...you'd have to pull it over your head, but a strap about bra-strap height is a cute fix and you can seam rip your straps and hide the ends inside so it looks original and intentional...just a couple thoughts
We made this style apron back in 7th grade home ec class. Yes I'm that old, lol. We didn't cut anything, we measured and ripped the pieces. Imagine 25 kids ripping the heck out of cotton fabrics at the same time. And tons of threads all over everything.
Then I’m “that old” too 😂 home ec sewing class was my favorite in 7th & 8th grade!
Yes We did! Loved ripping fabric!
seein something online and don't wanting to buy because I think I can make it myself. so relatable.
Definitely. My pinterest board is *full* of, "Garments to recreate"!! :)
I made an apron inspired by this same listing last year! It really is so cute and I wear it daily. I'm definitely going to make more!
I too am... Borrowing a pattern I saw online but I was stuck on how to get the upper part attached to the waistband in a way that looked finished. Thank you for this video!! You got me unstuck so I can finally enjoy my apron! My "perfectionist goblin" was getting agitated and holding me up. Also thank you for the term "perfectionist goblin" 😂 she will forever be referred to as such from here on out, for the rest of my life! 😂
That's adorable. My 6 year old daughter wants one
This is the most alexcited ive been on a while about a project
Your apron is very beautiful, and your work is well done. Furthermore, it fits you very well. Me too, although I am a man, I like wearing such aprons especially cross-back aprons without ruffles or anything like that, simple cross-back aprons.
Love it! Great fabric choice! Also yay pockets!
Thanks!!
I have been looking for a tutorial for an apron and this is perfect! I can’t wait to try it. I’m an amateur at sewing but I dream of making my own dresses some day. Thank you!❤
Thanks! Good luck with your sewing!
You could see in a little strap across the back from one strap to the other. Just a thought. Came out so cute!
I love this video. I look forward to going back to it when i make my apron!!
This is SO cute!! I’m obsessed 😍
Super cute!
Well done, it's beautiful.
Thank you!! :)
That turned out soo cute! I love it and am going to make it! :)
Thanks! :)
Super cute 🙌🏽
Great job, it is beautiful
Adorable video!
Love this! Definitely making this soon.
It’s perfect!
I love it. You did a great job. ❤ You should enjoy being able to work on the floor. Beautiful apron.
Looks great! Maybe you can wrangle the shoulder straps with a buttoned cross-strap in the back?
I Absolutely Love this apron! How much fabric did it actually take to make? It looks better without the fringe just sayin.
Beautiful job!
Thank you!
It's really nice design and great explaining thanks. I'm a beginner but I'm going to attempt it :). Did you also make the dress underneath? How did you make that as it's a great combo :)
Thanks! I did not make the dress underneath, I thrifted it but I think it was originally from Amazon :)
Love this! I wonder if the straps would fall off the shoulders if they were crossed over each other on the back.
That’s what I’m thinking I’ll eventually do to fix it lol
@@OutfitRepeater 👍
Kewll apron
Nicely done
Thanks!
Perfeito ❤❤❤
is there another way i could do the strips? i dont want to struggle all the time to put them back on my shoulders:))))
Nice tutorial
Thank you!
Do you remember the dimensions of the rectangles / all the pieces?
Measurements are discussed at 3:10, 4:35, and 7:50
A lot of it will depend on your own body measurements/preferences
How did you space out & attach the pockets? I’m trying to figure out how to place them in a way where they won’t flatten my gather too much but not pucker a ton either. Just really stumped on attaching the pockets. And how far down did you put them from the waistband?
honestly I just kind of took a guess, pinned them, held it up against my waist to see if I liked the placement, then went for it haha. Trial and error
I love your apron! It’s so beautiful! Is your fabric linen or is it cotton. I would love to know. Thanks.
Thanks! I actually don’t know the fibre content since it was a thrifted bedsheet… but my guess is some kind of cotton blend (like less than 50 percent)
what were the exact number of pieces you ended up cutting and their corresponding lengths?

Do you know how much fabric this took to make by chance?
I think it was a queen size bedsheet? So maybe between 2.5-3 yards? You might be able to do 2 yards with a shorter skirt :)
Adorable apron but I agree with others on too much unneeded information.
Too much talk
Why say much word when few word good? Maybe you don’t speak enough, in all actuality.
