    Leviticus 9:1 - 11:47
    Beware of Strange Fire
Join us for our Shabbat service with Bill Cloud and the Jacob's Tent Family!
In this portion, the importance of preparation and duties are accentuated by the events that happened on the 8th day. The 8th day has almost always symbolized a renewal of sorts, or an initiation of a process started previously - new beginning. We see in Leviticus 10:1-2 what happens when Nadab and Abihu offer “strange fire” before the Lord. They knew what was expected and yet did not take to heart the importance of protocol and holiness. “Strange fire” can render death by causing us to turn aside from the path we are set upon. Doing what is right in our own eyes can lead to our destruction. In a Congregational setting, we also have to consider God’s order and structure. What He is doing HERE may not be what He’s doing over THERE. This portion teaches us that unclean things can infiltrate earthen vessels, corrupt the vessel and makes it unclean. Once these earthen vessels absorb these contaminates, then it must be broken. Our offerings to the Father must be holy and acceptable. We must all encourage one another to live at a higher standard than that of mediocrity.
If you are enjoying this live stream, PLEASE consider sending in an offering, tithe, or donation to help us continue spread the gospel free from Jacob's Tent. We work hard to make sure this is an enjoyable experience to our online community, but it doesn't come without a price.
Give online via the Jacobs Tent app, our website, or text any amount to 84321 to support this ministry. Yahweh bless you and keep you! Shalom.

I just had a dream about it. I was taking a nap. I heard it was a holy day. I looked everything up. I couldn't find anything. Thank you for this. It made me understand what it meant.

Yeshua was resurrected on a sundae? Is there a study on this topic that I can examine? My understanding on this point has been that He rose on Saturday. I would really like greater clarity on this topic. Shalom!

After listening to this teaching, I am totally humbled (right at this exact moment, right?), but in my study, and I seem to need to read & pray about Leviticus 23 at least "a hundred" times every year when Passover is getting close and many times throughout the holy week... but ~ in everything I think I have learned ~ yes, this teaching today would be exactly correct. This is one of just a handful of times have heard concurrence.
Remember, the "pope" and Constantine "changed" the Moedim of our Father (during the - in my opinion - unholy Councils of Nicaea and Laodicea): they outlawed resting on the Sabbath and brought in different holidays (really strange fire) to substitute for "the Jewish rituals." Rabbis as well changed their thinking/Traditions on the Moedim but much more subtly, to avoid having too many Sabbath/restriction days close together and, in my opinion, to obscure the reality of the Resurrection!
Still, one question that has never been answered for me by any Messianic believer friends (with your understanding, perhaps?) or traditional Rabbis is this: Why no 16th?
We are told to eat the Passover meal ON the twilight of the 14th. We are told that the Feast of Unleavened Bread begins ON the 15th. Next, we read about Firstfruits. Yet, our Father has allowed a tiny bit of ambiguity (maybe?) here. Nowhere In His Word, do we read any number 16! Why? Did you notice that?
For this answer to you, I have again gone to Leviticus 23. I first read in NKJV and then in CJB. Then, I went to the online Tanakh to further verify from the Hebrew. There's no number "16" mentioned in conjunction with Firstfruits even though 14 & 15 are there for the two previous Moedim.
I agree with Bill Cloud! But, beware. Many waste time "disagreeing." Some may even disagree with Yeshua (on days, dates, day of the week, etc.) when He returns and He tells us exactly what is meant. We don't want to be one of those! LOL Blessings in Messiah to you and in your studies!

The solution is keep praying for every manner of good gift !
That we may go forth girded up in HIS Truth, in HIS Power, uncovering the great deceit in the last days & expose it with HIS Truth. That we may silence the scoffers in love & leading many to HIS magnificent Truth.
Pray for YAHSHUA to send HIS Word that The SPIRIT of YAHWEH may bring IT to our remembrance, teaching us how our prayers may come in before HIM w/fibrant prayer(the knocking) of the righteous(is it not written,James&Paul knew). That HE may open HE's gates w/Thanksgiving & enter into HIS courts w/praise, that HE may hear our prayers as sweet incense & act upon them(king David & John the Revelator knew). Because we pray according to The SPIRIT of Truth bringing to our remembrance The LivingWORD of The Magnificent SON, The MOUTHPIECE of The FATHER YAHWEH, unto all the creation !!
Let us pray to be among the mighty, that jump higher & shouting louder, great thanksgiving & praise. Crying out look what YAHSHUA can do in making the wicked to love & Delight in doing what is good, even a lowly one like me!
Ask for HIS great Latter Day rains (Zechariah 10:1) to cleanse us at what we think & desire, that HE may fill us with what HE thinks & what HE desires of his servant this day. That we may be among the sent out ones, going where HE says go, doing whatever deed HE desires done and speaking HIS Word without adding to or subtracting from.
Transformed into the friend of YAHSHUA, HIS more obedient servant !!
