I don’t sell cars often, but when I do, it’s when I take the time to organize my garages and rearrange cars. When I do this I usually end up selling 5 or 6 cars that I don’t use, or have lost interest in. I pretty much never sell just one car.
This problem is something they are partially responsible for creating in the first place, by making the economy so restrictive and grind focused.
Plus shark cards are still ridiculously overpriced. I wouldn’t buy them anyway, but even if I was tempted, I could never justify the price tags that have still not been readjusted for the in game infaltion.

Mate everything you said was bang-on. Rockstar are revelling in holding us to ransom with all this crap. They've know full well that they've got us by the balls, simply because of how addicted to the series we are & how long we've been dying to see GTA6 released over the past decade. We HAVE TO start a petition, if only to hopefully make Rockstar aware of just how much they're rubbing us, the very people making them tons of money, royally up the wrong way about a whole host of decisions that rob us of joy in gameplay. If we wanna continue to truly enjoy it then at the very least we've gotta try!

Clearing out garages for new builds is a big reason. When i was part of a racing series It was pretty common to buy multiple cars to test for that weeks races then sell what doesnt work for you and at least get most of your money back to use on other builds. Selling old cars you might not use as often to buy newer dlc cars was another big thing as well.

The 5th one is a good move in my opinion. Not everyone wants to play with strangers and just wants to play with the people they know or on their own by having safety during selling missions. Cheaters or not there are griefers everywhere and we cannot control other people.

I think many competitive gamers left GTAVO long ago cause the game has been so "rigged" for griefers.
The player base is car guys, RP guys, noobs, and griefers. Very few dedicated grinders in a public session, making it near impossible to find a decent teammate.
@paulodiaz5774 I agree. The option to play with randoms should be there. On PC it's horrible. The modders and cheaters are everywhere. If you're not picked with by a cheater or modder then your griefed.
Invite only doesn't have to be a solo experience. But if I choose to play alone then that should be my preference.

Yeah I’ve stopped playing GTA for years, I’m level 2000 legitimately and just got fed up of it, I went on it and bought new DLC when there was any but other than that I just don’t play GTA 5 anymore

Not possible since you cannot apply normal world econy here. Technically even removed cars can be bought infinitely in LS Car meet so there will be no basis for the economy here in terms of the car rarity.
@@paulodiaz5774 it's a video game, they can make something possible with a few alterations. All 200 cars are not fully available in the game. Even with the Auto Shop and other ways you can still buy the car.. yes most cars are bought through LSCM and that's where the player with the car should at least get 5-10% profit of the sale. This is what made the cars rare, caused FOMO for them to drive traffic to GTA plus and other streams of income for them. They can find away for us to benefit.
@@FMBMurdaGaming Yes, it is indeed a video game thus applying real world economy and track down the rarity and number of cars present in the game per category, type and variations is just too much work in a game. they can do it if they will put people and resources to make it possible but knowing Rockstar they will not even bother to apply this mechanic for a decade year old game. They should have done it way earlier if they have the intention to do so and since GTA 6 in near if ever they can do it they should apply it there but then again, applying that mechanic is still too much. Even the stock market mechanic in the story mode is just simple knock off of it which cannot be applied in the online version.

I’ve been a dedicated GTAO player for a long time now and with every update in recent times the game is becoming so hard to play! Just ban the modders?? Surely it can’t be that hard to detect a modded account! Why do us casual players who play the game properly have to suffer because some people don’t abide by the rules! This is disgusting from R*, not looking good for GTA 6.

The one thing that needs chages is if you que for a match no matter what it is and you quit npc will triple on your next sell mission!

False blame rockstar for making every car 1 million dollars plus the car price in real life is not even 1 million for instance the mustang in game it’s probably 1 million plus in real life the car is 70k their prices are so high to force you to spend money on shark cards not actually play the game. Rock star ruin their game making it a cash grab and not playable with grifter trying to blow you up doing cargo missions not every body has friends to do heist and other crap. Duper only exist because of rockstar flaws with pricing vehicles.

GTA Online was already ruined since year 1. Forcing you to buy Shark Cards and cuts the value of anything players try to farm money in. Which is what made me stop. I don't miss it one bit.

If people can't look behind the current day, and find the reason for that switch/game edit in the long run, they aren't real GTA players to begin with.
R* is moving the car sales to INDIVIDUALS because in the next game, you will have your own custom garage/dealership,
where you can display your custom creations in your own shop window.
With this game changing strategy, they also increase player to player interaction, as a lot of players do have all the properties
filled with all sorts of cars to then be able to sell them to anyone. This also creates an extra REASON for players to show off/ take their cars out of the garages from time to time, be it for a drive in town or for a meeting.
They don't care about random players that join for 15 minutes a day to shoot a guy in the face. They want the people to be
the creators in the free lobbies too. Like you are hosting the car meet scene.
These in game sub-worlds is what makes GTA GTA. NOT the game itself.
I think rules for the GTA world are convoluted so no sane person can ever remember everything.
I just buy another garage and they are nearly full, no dupes, no repeats.
I think glitches and modded aren’t fully to blame, the game has such a bad economy to the point you have to basically grind a 9-5 to get what you want, and the overpriced shark cards don’t help at all. The problem is mostly the game, not the players.
Instead of fixing the duplicate glitches RS would rather shaft everybody, including the legit players. It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.

This is pure B.S. First, This is meant to stop glitchers, but it screws over everyone else thats not duping cars and just trying to play normal... Second, They know their prices are outrageous, and yet they still go out of their way to make is as difficult as possible to make money. Sometimes selling extra cars was all I had. I didn't used to have a lot of businesses like i do now, but even those they try to screw you on.
Rockstar has cucked all of the original ways to grind RP and money.
I used to be able to grind cargo warehouses, I'd get 5,000 rp per supply mission and 10,000rp per sell mission, it was an effective way to level up and make good money in the process, not anymore. It's been cut in half, same with ULP. And the hitman missions for Franklin.
I'm done with this game. Done with Rockstar. I call them Cuckstar now
I think to balance out the sell limit they would have to at the very least make it so that the 1st car you sell actually sells for the full price you bought it at. Then 90%,80%,70% and so on, unless they still wanna be dicks about it then 75%,50%,25%.

Its been worked out and proven time and time again. It's impossible to be a lvl 8000 even if you played 24/7 since its release. Nobody would of made it to lvl 8000.

Unfortunately, it's stuff like this and the playerbase is why I gave up on this game. At this point, it makes more sense to me to just wait for GTA 6 and do other things with my life.
Stopping playing the online part of this game was one of my best decisions a few years ago.

Tbh I’m one of the people that sells duped cars which I don’t expect to have I bought money from a website the gave me garages full of deluxos but I rlly decided to do that because it’s hard to enjoy the game with no money. You may be saying do heists jobs cargo wtv. I have for so long and they make it harder and harder to do like Cayo I used to make so much money from that literally didn’t have to worry about money. But it affected their sharkcard sales so they changed the heist idk how many times now cause they are greedy and want money. You can’t sell cargo or even do set ups without everyone and their mom trying to stop you which could go to single player but I play multiplayer for a reason to see other people and yeah this is a whole lot my bad
Why would you want to sell your cars? I think I've sold cars when I ran out of parking spaces but only cars I won on the wheel. What's the point of playing if you don't have every spot in the game full of cars?
Corporate greed. Decline in shark card sales and GTA Plus subscriptions is why these changes are happening. GTA 6 Online will be like this from day one. It's disgusting.

Modded accounts across all consoles are running rampant, and they decide ehh let’s declare war on car dupers… I’m sorry what? So the accounts with BILLIONS are okay but that’s the reason their changing the entire system?? Screw over the legit playing players to punish the dupers who cannot amass the amount of money the COUNTLESS modded accounts have… makes sense.
Unless they bring some sort of auction system(not gonna happen they don’t care that much) this makes zero sense.

I had a thing with shark cards in the past, any time I bought something from a shark card I'd always feel a regret about it. I'd normally would sell whatever I bought with in the week and make it something else, over time I got to the point of just grinding for the item instead of running my credit card and it had made the game more enjoyable. However, as the price of things started to rise, my enjoyment with the game didn't and I eventually fizzled out of interest. Now I'll log in after a new update for about a day or two then go back to just watching videos of the game and not having interest of playing it.

Pro Tip. Make friends with those that has bought or won whatever car you want, then mosey on over to the LS Car Meet and buy that car. Problem solved with podium prize rides.

I don't think GTA players have heard of boycotts. It's as simple as if people stop playing thre Game Then rock star will stop getting money. And they will either act on it or quit the game entirely, but for some reason gtA players just like to keep playing The Game. But then complain about the fact that rock star's doing nothing about it. I'm not included in this because I've quit playing The Game permanently since gta plus was added and will continue not to until it is removed
