It's 90% an act on him "struggling". he knows what he's doing, but him playing dumb helps with engagement and views

@@sandymangamin7159 Yep, playing perfectly would be boring, so a bit of mild drama makes these simple games a better stream. Drae does the same; tho listening to Drae makes me stressed out while listening to DF is relaxing.
DF really has the most stable career on CZcams. We will watch the same game 100 times and never get bored
It's interesting watching this genre evolves - at first the currency amount just got larger and larger (Quintillion, etc), now devs gave up on that and switch to 'a', 'b', etc for suffixes

The great thing about DF is he shows you you don't have to play the game the way it was intended to be played.

Alot of people say he pretends to not understand game mechanics but im gonna be completely honest, as a long time fan hes never really had *that* much meta progression between games even in the earlier days.
Its likely a mix of not putting serious focus into the games (considering alot of them are shitty idle games he plays so we dont have to), and his general lack of meta progression.
He may also be multitasking while making videos, i wouldnt be surprised.
