Cinematography is peak in this film, really rich colour palette especially for this series which is known for its trademark green. I personally love the film, it's very meta, while still being a good continuation and expansion of the story, and it has left plenty of room for more. Love it or hate it, you can't deny it's such a well-shot film.
and those reviewers say that the cinematography is trash in this movie.

If you haven’t already, you should Apocalypse Now. But the Re-edited Redux from 2001. It has 40 minutes of extra footage and it is soooo stunning
As much as I didn't really like this movie, I can agree the cinematography was absolutely beautiful and wonderful to look at.

This movie, can't decide if I love it or hate it. It does a lot of cool world building, there are some cool creative things with the Matrix and the love story between Neo and Trinity is the heart of the movie, but it goes HARD on the member berries, heavy on exposition and many things are explained with throwaway lines, most notably the appearances of Morpheus and Smith. The action is kind of a mixed bag as well.
you know every time you see old fotage from first 3 movies its acctually neo remembering ? its like when you have little images pop up in your head when you thinking about past events , its completely natural brain activity .
all the member berries are there for a reason and fit the story and the world .
this fukin movie just exposed how small minded and dumb most people are , smh

My issues are I did not like how Meta it was and him being a game developer with hipsters around him making the matrix video game. I would rather him be a loser bum hacker, why would the matrix system make him succesful... they would surely repress everything and with the blue pill taking... Thought the Bullet time with NPH was crappy looking and the fighting, looked into it Lana Directed the action and did not have say the John Wick guys step in to assist hence why it was choppy with lots of cuts... I do not know what to think about this movie... There was not much action tbh however I did love any moments with Neo and Trinity though...
@@OliverHollingdale To be honest, thats exactly what made me like the movie. Being a meta of itself is actually a good perspective to look at all that "simulation within a simulation" concept, simulacra and simulation and the whole post modernism which the og movie was based on. Though, I agree with the other things you've said.
This movie looked fantastic. There were so many shots I looked at in pure awe. I particularly like the shot with Trinity and Neo on the motorcycle at 2:24.
I just saw the film today, and I thought it was so cool. I actually loved the trilogy, so it wasn’t a problem for me. Sure there were some issues and will never live up to the original, but I still thought it was cool. It gave me more Matrix lore which I wanted! :)

I really don’t care what people think. I loved this movie. Now is it perfect? No. Is it as good as the original? No. No other matrix film has been as good. But god damn it. I’m glad to see this series come back. And they tried and in my eyes. They absolutely crushed it. And I can’t wait for the next ones. I hope I’m not the only one that really liked this movie.

In all the desmeasured hate i've read about this movie, one person said that the cinematography was bad... That kind of gives away the intellectual depth of that criticism. John Toll shot this movie, people. Just for The Thin Red Line alone he's got a place in the Olympus of DOP's.
Yes. It wasn't really the cinematography that was bad. It was the editing and choreography that was bad. Still a great movie though.
It's a turd in my opinion. But you carry on loving it.

visually this movie is really good. i just personally do not feel the same love for it as i do for the original. the fight choreography and editing are just not the same. Some interesting ideas were in the film, but the execution was not right.

Am a big fan of the matrix universe I was never crazy about the action scenes I was more into the conflict between man and machine(A.I) philosophical And mythology aspect of the movie.
The new one advance the story mirroring our society today and it has so much metaphors and hidden meaning that at first viewing you might not even Catch
@@michaelbidek9343 i Am also a Huge fan of the matrix trilogy. i think i have watched the whole trilogy atleast 5 times. Matrix made huge "thing" to my life. I liked the matrix not only because of its action and music, because of its philosophy. But, in this movie i didn't catch things like that and i am very disappointed of that.

That might help . I have seen the new matrix 5 times in the cinema already and I enjoyed it every single time. It became like a quest cause I picked up new concepts or theory in every single watch and made me appreciate the matrix films in is totality

honestly thought this movie was great, my only complaints are the action could have been better but the intentionaly not subtle meta narrative, the characters, the world building, all fantastic imo, and the shots were beautiful

Yes Cinematography in Matrix 4 looks so good and beautiful. I love the colours in that film
Visuals were great. My favourite shot was not in this video though. It was when Sati was explaining the plan on getting Trinity back and discount Morpheus was on one of the machines ( there was a wide shot of this)
That one shot before it, when Sati starts explaining the plan....and they're flying up high on that one robot. And it's a wide shot of one of incubator towers... ❤️💪🏼😳😍
As much as I hated the movie when it comes to plot etc. there is no denying it was visually very pleasing.
Powerful last scene, balancing man and woman, symbolizing yin and yang.
The oracle in one of the previous movies was wearing earrings with the yin and yang..

I like this movie. Story was quite alright, but I don't think it deserves itself as a sequel if there will not be another sequel to this one. Anyway, the visuality of this movie is stunning!

@@GellertTV SPOILERS It's about a lot. One of my main takes aways is with their experience in the entertainment industry, having their truest art (the matrix) corrupted in regard to artistic integrity for capital. That's what a lot of the first act is. When we go into "io" we get relevant themes on how there is so much lack of open mindedness to other opinions and experiences (Naobi talking about Morpheus). In the story you have the extremist ideas of the machines needing to fully be eliminated which the film says is a closed-minded opinion as Morpheus in this is a program. You have the themes of women's place in society needing to stay within the confines of societal structure in trinity's arc, truly being free when she makes the decision to be trinity and not tiffany. The Analyst is the perpetual ideal to keep things the way they are. Bugs in the character I need to think on more. Neo is obviously us, being given the information at face value and making specific judgment calls on the themes it deals with. The movie definitely has its faults, but damn is it special.
Maybe Bugs is more of us and not Neo. Maybe it's both. I just appreciate that it's a movie that makes you think and challenge your pre-established understanding of what the scope of human experience is, especially if you do research on the directors.

I loved this movie. For me it's the first one and this one tied. I am young and only recently watched the trilogy so I can imagine if you had watched it when it first came out it would be spectacular which is why people don't like this one. I loved the story of this one. The second and 3rd movies were just boring imo which is why I liked this one because it wasn't boring lol. And it has better pacing. But again I am new to the matrix. So I have fresh eyes and didn't grow up with it or anything.
While it wasn’t super original, it still had all the nostalgia from the original trilogy. Would highly recommend this movie for those who love the matrix

The matrix has been rebooted and the human city is no longer Zion.
There are machines in Io.. and it is shown more of the human side of the matrix.

La verdad es que Matrix Resurrection es de las peores decepciones cinematograficas que eh visto en años, y es muy mala.
Pero tu video musical es maravilloso
as sci-fi it's exceptional, but as an action movie it's horrible. Showing that even Sense8 and Juipter Ascending have a much more resolved finish than this 4th movie
