Mohsen Namjoo in Concert, Brown University

Middle East Studies presents a solo performance by Iranian musician and songwriter Mohsen Namjoo. An artist in residence for the spring of 2014 at Brown, Namjoo will be playing a style of music that has been described as Persian classical poetry with a mix of rock, blues, and jazz. Namjoo has performed in several parts of the United States, and Canada and is scheduled to perform in Europe for a 2014 tour. Born in Iran, Namjoo has recorded numerous albums including Useless Kisses (2011), Oy (2009), and many others.
