- It's another in the series of "cool stuff" at the NRA National Firearms Museum in Fairfax, Virginia. John Popp is staring at today's gun. We may be getting into some "crazy" stuff! Firearms specialist Logan Metesh says someone wanted to go big. It's a Colt Single-Action Army that has undergone major surgery. It has an extra frame and cylinder added, then welded and brazed back together. You can load a .410 shotgun shell, but no one at the museum has been brave enough, or foolhardy enough, to try shooting it.

Tie it to fence post....string on trigger. Standard test! I’m sure someone test fired it. But it could be X-rayed. You guys.

Very cool gun. I like it a lot. No I’m not volunteering to shoot that death trap. If it comes apart each cylinder half will probably stay intact and if the gun also comes apart that’s some really heavy shrapnel that may remove a significant part of my body. Also, no, I don’t want to shoot it, (I needed two disclaimers that’s how scary it is to me).
Oh, and if I survived assuming you got me drunk and/or high enough and paid me insane amounts of money well into 5 digits to shoot just one round I’m afraid I’d be responsible for destroying a cool museum relic made by a really nutty turn of the century “Bubba”.
