    "Diagonal Set" is the term for what your calling diamond. I built industrial deep friers and processing conveyors for Frito Lay and Schwan's and all the framing was square tube stainless. Tiggy Wiggy!

    One tip in regards to the head tube, weld the head tube inside a piece of slightly shorter square tube which will leave just enough of the head tube out each end to cap the square tube around the head tube.

    Welding square tubing in a diamond shape is much stronger than welding it together in a square pattern. Diamond shape will not bend or buckle anywhere near as easily as square.

    Nice frame

    No way to get around having to buy tubing & I'm guessing it's all sorts of different attributes like thickness, grades of hardness, &
    other characteristics that I don't know about BUT I'm learning here! Losing material to the bending process probably adds up on
    you quick... lol, like everything you need good yield to make money. Now I'm curious so I'll be looking into "Tubing" & I got this
    funny idea it's be like "Research"? I know I'm gonna see more types of metals/tubing/shapes & all the grades too ! So I'll be at
    that before I ask you anymore metal questions.... heck, I had to start somewhere & the frame is a good spot. And you got the
    square tube bender/dies.... I didn't know any such thing existed? I was wanting an ebike but for the prices I couldn't find any
    that met my wants/needs? So for the last 8-10 months I've been semi-stuck just thinking about what I'd like but now that I
    came by this channel I'm seeing that I can literally design the bike I want, from the frame up. I'm stoked. Great video.
    gotta run but I'll be back to watch this again

      Heck yeah man. That's what this is about. Learn, make cool stuff, mess up and keep trying new things.

      I'm not looking to get into buying the stuff to build but I am learning what you're using & the process involved which
      everytime you bend a straight piece I think more/more about what I want in a Bike Design. I'm wanting a bike that
      can run in bad times(no money or gas) and for a SHTF type scenario. My thoughts of a design is one that can be
      loaded down w/ supplies. Like having racks to throw stuff on & I'm so early into this that I've got many pro's/con's
      to juggle around but that's why I'm interested. You just happened to be doing stuff that let's me know what is
      involved. And I did not know the square tubing could be bent. Even where this tubing is bent it has flat sides
      that you can attach things easier than round tubes. I'm way ahead of myself & know nothing,
      Back to school here...... But I digg it. peace

    Do those V rollers work on the other Kaka tube roller too? I'm lookimg at buying a roller next, but not interested in the HFT and adding the Swag kit to it. I'd rather purchase one all around roller.

      @CburkeCustoms  Před 6 měsíci +1

      No unfortunately. Buy the Hulk bender from Swag. Way better and you can use both

    Love all your bikes, whats the lowest a seat can be for a comfortable ride? Id love it at 1/4 ot the tire bottom to top, is it achieveable?

    • @CburkeCustoms
      @CburkeCustoms  Před 4 měsíci +1

      I mostly stick with about 2 feet from the bottom of the frame to top of seat post.

    • @GregoryBamber

      The lowest I've built was using 16 Schwinn wheels respoked and rehubbed with an MTB 6 gear hub. The seat height is 15 inches. Another I've built using 26 inch wheels has the seat height at 15 inches too. The lowest fwd I built (a Slider trike, I ran 20 inch bmx forks horizontally of the back tube with 20 inch bmx wheels) has the seat at 6 inches off the ground.
