Katie was right about everything here. They had an agreement of long term former partners to lead things peacefully and so they wouldn't air their hookups in the usual incestuous VPR way (which he agreed to). Separation is hard on its own, and then they had all these people sabotaging. All these people butting in who, ironically, had no moral high ground to do it.

Katie literally sat down both Schwartz and Rachel separately and clearly said that if they were to do anything that was romantically inclined that she would be (rightfully) hurt, furthermore she had previously set clear boundaries with Schwartz not to date within the friendship group. I genuinely cannot fathom how people don’t see Katie’s perspective, Schwartz literally was so vindictive and cruel when saying he kissed Rachel to spite Katie. And the fact that Rachel is now trying to insert herself into Katie and Schwartz’s fractured relationship is just so infuriating. Don’t even get me started on Scandoval constantly inserting himself into the drama (especially when it involves the women in show) when he clearly is not involved in the situation whatsoever!

Here is what I think: Katie asked for the divorce to scare Tom into changing his ways. When that didn't work she started hooking up with guys to hurt Tom and make him jealous and fight for her.

It’s just speculation - but it is not nice if it is true.
It is emotionally damaging and hurting the family’s of the cast members as well as the cast members themselves to deliberately create this - poor Katie went through a divorce which would’ve been so hard for her and her family as well as Schwartz. These shows need to remember these people are only human and can only handle so much heartbreak.
2024 though Katie is single and happy and Schwartz has moved on too and is in a relationship - but their story did not get a proper telling and Katie deserves so much better then the way she is currently being treated and has been treated n the past.
