Heeey guys, back again with another Super Smash Bros. LOST BITS! So I thought my last Cuphead video was going to be the longest Lost Bits ever, but looks like I was wrong!
Hey guys, welcome to LOST BITS! Where I will cover unused and unseen things in various games! In this video we'll explore Super Smash Bros. Melee for the Nintendo Gamecube! Fun Fact: The reason Lucas didn't replace Ness in Melee is because Mother 3 was originally set to release as Earthbound 64, but due to the 64DD failing, Earthbound 64 was scrapped and later released on the GBA as Mother 3 on April 20th, 2006. Thus, Lucas appeared alongside him in Brawl instead.
Imagine an alternate universe where Mother 3 came out at its proper time and Ness got cut. He would been requested so much in the later games and would finally return in Ultimate.
@@brogan294Ness is the main character of the Earthbound/Mother series, as Lucas was introduced later on in only one game. It would be a big gap if Ness got cut in any game.

You can also be KOd in the all star stage if you take enough knockback. Not sure if it was altered to allow this in 20XX, but I believe I remembered doing so in silly melee too, which has a more original version of the stage

I'll never forget the day I went to GameStop and bought an Action Replay disc. I only had internet access at school then so I had no idea who the unlockable characters in Melee were; I lost my shit to say the least. I even remember going online at school and writing down the commands for Master Hand's attacks. Ahh man, this video took me back to middle school.

14:58 - This was likely intended for Ditto's mechanic in the game, where he'd act as another CPU player (and a copy of the player that summoned him). The addition of two CPUs being in order to make it possible for Ditto to copy the Ice Climbers.

The sound for the unused time-bomb item sounds almost *IDENTICAL* to the sound used for the Sensor Bomb Patch in Kirby Air Ride... even more connections between the two HAL Labs projects. I love how this series reveals so many development details!

even more obscure fact he never touched on, if you play the stage "test" with 4 players, players 3 and 4 can actually control part of the stage! it's been almost 15 years since I did this, but I clearly remember if player 3 or 4 hit X or Y, they can rotate those 2 platforms on the left of the screen when the match begins.

19:00 about a year ago,in smash bros Wii U. I made the great bay stage and players that can duck as a dash attack(such as mario) can clip inside of the lab,fight and clip out whenever they wanted to. It was the best stage I ever made and I made that stage since I found out that I’m melee,you were originally able to go inside the lab
the graphic of the m4 was probably a test gun for james bonds as a ranged attack like link's bow but shoots more then one bullet or jame bonds was going to be a trophy holding a m4 and nice video by the way.

Great video, Tetra Bit! I always found it amazing to be able to play as the unplayable characters in any Smash game, but to be able to edit their size and lighting, now that’s something else! Though, I will inform you about the 6 player smash in Melee! The reason this is possible is because in Multi-Man Melee and the semifinal stage in Adventure Mode, the player character, along with 5 wireframes, are always seen on screen until you win, making for a total of 6 fighters on screen! Of course, due to the limited technology at the time and the developers needing to test it, accessibility for this feature anywhere had to be made possible in the debug menu, which at the time of it’s release, wasn’t accessible by normal players! Just wanted to address that since you didn’t seem to realize this in the video! Also, as for the original hand icons, I’m actually glad that the smash icons were used for the hands in the final game, because the hand icons don’t really represent the series that the hands are from, which I always felt was the key function of the icons for every character!

I think the reason ditto didn’t get to rumble was because of the ice climbers... wobbling... ditto would attack while the ice climbers wobbled and that would be OP (more than it already was)... also 1 Pokémon mimicking 2 separate beings at once would be strange and it’s something ditto can’t do.

The "Falcon..." line is actually called FalconBluff in the game menu, which seems to imply they originally intended for Captain Falcon to cancel his Falcon Punch.

if you check those victory-like animations, they are still moving after the pose, and the movement they make can also be seen in later smash games, like smash Wii U and Brawl.

This video was great! Stay with long videos. Covering everything for a game at once is better than splitting it into different videos. If people have a problem with long videos than leave time stamps in the description for certain parts of the game that you’ll be covering that they might be interested in. It would be better than uploading multiple videos of the same game imo.
