Original genre was r&b she got her start singing in black church choirs in downtown Philly and partied in clubs and sang r&b song during mic night in philly. Thats where she was discovered. She loves r&b always has that her original genre but she knew with her voice she could do because she grew up listening to everything. R&B, blues, rock, country etc… her soulful voice and octave range suits any genre she wants to sing. She just loves all music & thats whats great. She has such creative freedom.

For an old guy like me who was raised during the very best decades of music, Pink has a great voice and can dance and shake. True artist.
The beginning of Pink's Pop/Rock image! This was when she "sadly" (I say that 'cuz I low-key miss it) shed away from her R&B image and began to evolve into a bad-ass rockstar that she was destined to be. Bubblegum pop music needed a rebel and it was gonna take more than just a few silly singers with sexy crossover songs to make it happen. In comes Pink, dyed bright pink hair with eccentric clothing & a wild voice! Always enjoyed her debut, but her follow-up "Missudaztood" (2001) was a proper masterpiece because it was true to her core! Gems like this, "Just Like a Pill" & "Family Portrait" were deep as hell and gave you insight into her pain during early years just as her idol Mary J. Blige would showcase on her efforts during her years when voicing about her struggles. Love 'em both.
I Low key missed her R n B moment i felt she could have dominated both tho because of her talent. Plus she can dance forreal.
