How to fix Missing Create Windows USB Option of BootCamp on Macs

  • In this video I just fixed an issue about a missing Create a Windows 7 or 10 bootable USB on Macs older than 2014.
    Windows 10 Supported Macs
    - Macs are newer than Mid 2012 or later
    Windows 8.1 Supported Macs
    - Macs are newer than Late 2009 and 2010
    Windows 7 Supported Macs
    - Macs are newer than 2006 however, the core 2 duo models with 32-Bit EFI are only supported for running 32-Bit versions.
    Don't give up yet !
    - Apple Says the Support softwares are only supported for these devices are listed top but the earliest version of BootCamp even fully compatible with Windows Vista, 7, 8.1, 10 except 11

    Actually, I need to do a guide for Windows 8.1 however, I hate Windows 8.1 so I don't care if runs it or not.

    I followed the steps and it only results in Bootcamp crashing... What do I do???
    Device is Macbook 7.1 OS X Yosemite

      This might not always work for Macs running Yosemite or older. Upgrade to El Capitan or something newer.

    Doesn't work on Monterey. The "Pre" USB option is already deleted by default.

      If it doesn't work, you have to try this and get bootcamp drivers and do this process on versions between El Capitan and Big Sur.

      @@techoboten well the simplest way was for me to use disk utility and format the USB as MS-DOS/MBR scheme. Then I just copied the contents of the windows ISO on to the USB. And then use wimlib to split the install.wim file.
