I think Garriott is the most dedicated Steven Colbert wrist band wearer in the world, even more dedicated than Colbert himself, he wore that Colbert wrist band in outer space on the international space station and almost every interview since he seems to wear it. Colbert should invite him to the new Late Night show as one of the first guests.

Was the music used during the Ultima I footage and Ultima montage from a Japanese version? I never heard this music before and am certain it isn't in the first 5 western PC games, and don't recall it from the 6 or 7 either, and it sounds far too primitive to be from those or later games.

Didn't NC Soft decide to let him go only days after his flight into orbit? And wasn't that flight all just part of the promotion of the mmo Tabula Rasa? Makes one wonder, was NC Soft pissed about such a frivolous and luxuriously self-indulgent (on Garriott's part) method of promotion? Using a trip into space as the means to deploy a video game promotion must cost a pretty penny indeed.
I am thankful for his work heading the Ultima franchise, one of thee best RPG series to date. He's definitely a pioneer, dispite his obvious ability to spend money.
