I remember a poll on RAW 1000 in 2012, people at that time were more excited to see CM Punk fighting The Rock than having to see the Rock's once in a lifetime rematch against the number one guy at that time, John Cena.
That's how over CM Punk was at that time, and how much he deserved to participate the Wrestlemania 29 main event.
Punk deserves to be a part of Wrestlemania main event at least once before he ends his career.

He probably would've got it last year if he wasn't so fragile, but the fact that he gets gassed/injured easily is precisely why he shouldn't be in the main event on the biggest stage. He'd only embarrass himself and the company. WWE owes Punk nothing, especially after the time he spent dogging WWE.

CM Punk doesn't need another title for the remainder of his career. He is such a compelling personality, a title belt on his waist just seems like jewelry. I'm not opposed to Punk having a belt, I'm just saying it's not a game changer regarding his overpowering influence and popularity. In a strange way, he's the modern Undertaker.
I agree I don't think he needs and although I wouldn't be opposed to him winning it he definitely needs to fight for it because I'd love to see him get his main event maybe you can have drew win it and take there feud to mania depending when he first gets cleared or maybe you go punk seph route either way I don't mind if he wins or loses I just think he deserves a main event

I stopped watching WWE in the early 2000's and didn't get back into it until 2015, so completely missed the Punk years. Since then I've seen most of the big matches during that gap, including Punk's and I get why people love him, it's just he'll never be that amazing for me, he's just doesn't do anything particularly better than my favourite wrestlers from over the years. He did have some good matches at the start of his AEW run though, shame he can't stay fit for the big payoff.
Honestly I just hope he'll be able to make at least one good match against Drew before another injury.

I can't deny that Punk brings a certain next level energy to everything he is in. His work with MJF is some of the best AEW has ever done. Granted, I think he is a bit of doo doo head but he is talented. However, I'm more concerned about his longevity. It seems he can't go 5 minutes without picking up an injury that shelves him for 6 months. I don't think WWE or Mr 3xH can comfortably book long term stories around him because of the risk of him getting injured. Sure freak accidents happen and it could happen to anyone but yeah... it seems to happen to him a lot.

No issue. If, the feud is designed to put over Cody at the end. Which it would. It's a long way away though. We are only slowly gearing towards a Randy Orton turn. But make no mistake, Punk has three main feuds in this last run of his, Drew, Seth and Cody. You can put Roman in there but that will be one off.

If I were booking it, and they want to do Cody vs Rock at Wrestlemania, I'd have Rock screw Cody out of the title at the Royal Rumble against whomever you decide to give the title shot. Then Cody has a reason to not just jump back into the Rumble, and if he doesn't have the title, it is possible for Rock to actually win the match.

At some point, Punk will have to wrestle. I'm not sure if he can do that part of the job anymore, unfortunately. If he does end up getting a title, the reign might need to be short, and that's fine.

Punk doesn't need to win anything. He is 45 years old. That's taking away from the younger talents. That's doing exactly what AEW did when he got there. Quickly putting him into the main event and handling him the world title. When it could've gone to the younger talents. Then on top of that, all he does is get injured.

You're saying WWE should give younger talent the World title to elevate them, but that's not how it works, because all that actually does is de-elevate the prestige of the World title.

Firstly, the world title was de-valued heavily during the ruthless aggression era. Firsly by having two champions which was just stupid, secondly by giving it to 'superstars' such as the Great Khali, and thirdly they started having the ridiculously short title reigns where a wrestler would lose it the night after they won it.
Secondly, if you actually read my comment, I said that young wrestlers need to prove they are worthy of the World title by being over. Steve Austin was over before he won the title and so was the Rock. So when they finally won the World title, it felt prestigous because the wrestler holding it was a top guy. But when they put the title on somebody who isn't over (such as Damien Priest) thinking it will elevate them, all it does is de-elevates the world championship.

At Wrestlemania, I'd love to see Roman vs Solo to dismantle the Bloodline once and for all, Drew vs Punk in some kind of no-disqualification match, Cody Rhodes vs Randy Orton for the Smackdown title, and a triple threat match Seth Rollins vs Damien Priest vs Finn Balor (c) for the Raw title (in this scenario, Balor wins it off of Priest sometime between MitB and Wrestlemania)

To be fair, I don't think AEW knew how injury prone this man was. He had just gotten back into wrestling after 7 years off. Now I will say, they messed up by trying to give him another chance after the first injury. But he also brought an injury on himself by jumping into the crowd and breaking his foot. That wasn't AEWs fault. That was 100% on Punk.

CM Punk personally & professionally has burned too many bridges. He’s older, always out injured (while still collecting checks) and even when he isn’t hurt, his ego is an ever persistent problem to deal with. If he’s not 100% happy he’s unreliable. You can’t build a solid locker room & long term story telling on that kind of track record. Build around the guys who have been there for years. Gunther is the most believable big bad they have & Priest should feel like a bigger star than he is.
Punk should absolutely NOT win the WWE title at Mania. Give him a huge feud match with Rollins, but no title. World title matches can be Cody vs Rock and Gunther vs Bron Breakker.
