- Here at this touching performance Kate Jackson, Farrah Fawcett (R.I.P) and Jaclyn Smith reunited again for sad special occasion for saying goodbye to Aaron Spelling, the passed away producer of Charlies Angels at 2006 Emmy awards ceremony.
I was on a flight to LA and sat next to Farrah. We talked all the way through the flight (she couldn't sleep on flights like me) she was the most down to earth loveable person I will never forget her, god love you darling Farrah x

I always think of the introduction to Charlie's Angels when they walk out of the police academy and when Jill/Farrah walks out she waves to the person walking by. I felt that was probably unscripted and just Farrah being Farrah and it worked for Jill Monroe was equally as bubbly so they probably kept it in the intro.

They kicked on the lights expecting a standing ovation, but everyone was just like "meh" with polite clapping.
I was there and I fully agree! They deserved a standing ovation. I was just stunned to see the original Angels there together after 30 years. It was a surprise that none of us saw coming.

A standing ovation would have been over the top. The audience gave appropriate reaction and applause after each spoke. It was a heartfelt moment expressing thanks and gratitude.

@jamesdean258 I'm 24 now and I love the three of them since I discovered Charlie's Angels "by accident" back in 2020! Especially Jaclyn still is a role model for me, she seemed and still seems so down to earth and polite! I even got her haircut from the 70s and my hairdresser was so amazed to be able to do that cut again, also my friends around me loved that cut and I was like "yeah, those were good times back then, in many belongings!"
Of course I didn't experience what living in the 70s was like, but every time I'm watching CA I really wish we could turn back time, because live seemed to be that much "cooler" back then than it is nowadays...

These ladies deserved a standing ovation, they all looked great! The speeches were beautiful. RIP Farrah, you will always be remembered for a long time.

Botox and plastic surgery are her friends. Now she looks like Melania.
She doesn't look that good these days 2021. She but so did Morgan Fairchild as recent as 2012. Fairchild was still hot! Not anymore. Hardly recognizable. When I saw her during her stint on "Days of our lives" I thought she might be sick? I hope not but that might explain the weight gain. Maybe she is on a medication that causes weight gain as a side effect or something? Maybe just age. She is in her 70's now like Jackie Smith.

She still look pretty good here, but she's overdone the procedures and looks completely artificial now. She should have allowed herself to age naturally from this point, it would have looked better.

The thing to keep in mind is that Jaclyn Smith's tribute to Aaron didn't come up on the teleprompter due to a technical error. She delivered her speech on the spot and from the heart. She is in a league of her own.
Farrah, Kate and Jaclyn are beyond gorgeous in this. So much more talent in these 3 than in all the audience!!
Not true. There were many in the audience who had a long list of memorable works, not just one, and that's why they didn't give the 3 Angels a standing ovation.

I was born in 1982, so I didn't get to experience Charlie's Angels while it was new. I watched reruns of it with my dad in the mid to late 80s and still watch it today since I have the complete series on DVD. RIP Farrah.

Poor Farah. People always laughed at her being high or awkward in live appearances. I see shyness. She surely was under the influence sometimes... but I'd bet money that she drank or took other substances before an appearance in order to calm the jitters of social anxiety. Idt she ever felt comfortable with being a celebrity, and definitely not with being a sex symbol.

Well, it was 3 women. If it was any other hot crime show from those years with male stars, they would've stood up.
Late 70s was a tough time in America. Is was alot tougher than most poeple admit. And the theme song from Charlie's angels takes you back to that time. If you were a child it takes you back to a time of the evening where your homework began or more or less.

I think that it is so wonderful how the 3 ladies had a GENUINE friendship outside the show. That is such a powerful message. I have read many articles where they speak about how dear their friendship is to one another. THAT'S COOL AS HECK.
They met years before Charlie’s Angles. They were both filming commercials at the same time and bonded by being Texas girls in Hollywood.

In 1976, I was 15 years old. I loved Charlie's Angels. Not a lot of role models on tv back then for young girls. Bionic woman too.

I hear you! This trio just produced so much magic on that show. It is clear that the original three would always be the classic lineup that the fans would always enjoy most. I just wonder if this was the first and only time that the three ladies ever would appear together in public. Farrah's demise was a very sad affair.
***** EXACTLY! i can't think of any show that had THEE perfect casting like these 3 that has stood the test of time.. or at least the best casting of a show that featured all women and beauty and drama/action/comedy.. heck, even david doyle as bosley was the "perfect bosley foil".. yes, very sad about FARRAH a angel it seems in person.. way too young to pass and what a battle she gave it... i loved the fact that all 3 of these women loved each other on and off the show and became and maintained their great friendship for decades! that in itself is rare!
mbblover, you are right! No one will EVER be able to make a new Charlie's Angels film or series without having this original trio against whom to compare! Never! I did enjoy the films, but I kept thinking about how unbeatable the timeless first season was with the late and lovely Farrah. We loved her so much and do miss her dearly.

Even though I was born in the 90s this show was awesome I seen a few episodes and simply loved it!!!!!!

Don't know what it is but there is something extremely likable about Kate Jackson. I've liked her in everything she has ever done, from the ghost in Dark Shadows to Scarecrow and Mrs. King to her TV movies and everything in between. Love her!

Kate Jackson was NOT fired. She had signed a seven-year contract with Spelling-Goldberg to do The Rookies. She was committed to do another series with them if The Rookies got canceled before then, which it did. That's why she was Angel No. 1 and co-created the show (but was never credited for it...). She did four seasons of The Rookies and three of Charlie's Angels. So she honored her contract. But after Spelling/Goldberg wouldn't let her do "Kramer vs. Kramer" Kate wanted out. She finished season 3 but she was certainly not going to come back for season 4 after they had done her dirty.
Leonard Goldberg said they tried to talk her into staying but she wanted to leave which she did eventually.
Aaron Spelling is on record saying "hell what next!". Because he knew no one could replace the amazing Kate Jackson.
Kate held Cheryl at arm's length. And that's ALL she did. Kate had her good reasons for not liking phony Cheryl who was a nobody when she landed the role. Ladd became an insufferable diva right away who treated the little people on the set like crap. People seem to overlook the fact that it's always been Cheryl Ladd who brings up how Kate Jackson hates her. Whereas Kate has never ever said a negative thing about Ladd in any interview. Somebody has a lot of class alright, but it sure as hell isn't Ms. Ladd.

She didn't do it alone. We all need help from others. Don't forget to give credit to the make-up artists, the cameras, the producers, directors, the supporting actors among other honored professions. I think Farrah really was the most beautiful among all of them, and certainly many people think this way. Farrah became the greatest sex symbol and symbol of inspiration among all of them. But they all were and are wonderful.

Watching these three on a cold Winter night in the UK in the 70s was a real tonic. All that glamour and those wonderful sunny sets. RIP Farrah. Her death was overshadowed by Michael Jackson's who died the day after her. She was a great actress too. Anyone else seen The Burning Bed? A brilliant performance from Farrah.

With all the baloney that goes on in the Hollywood scene, it's refreshing to see some sincere appreciation displayed by the famous. These ladies obviously had true affection for their real-life "Charlie"', Aaron Spelling. Nice to see, and it was a plus seeing how beautiful they all were at that point...some thirty years after the show debuted.

I still believe ine the "old angels" Farrah, Jaclyn, and Kate. Something they can copy, study, make no matter how much remakes, but what they were...nobody can steal from us... they are our heroes and most of all , only some of us can understand this who were born in the early '70s or before. :)

They were part of that fresh novelty wave of wonder-women action heroes. For the first time, we got to see women in action roles. Women's liberation had turned to crime-fighting, and it was pretty awesome.

Yes she did. Breast cancer twice and had a partial mastectomy. Actually Jaclyn went through breast cancer as well.

I agree with you. I was devastated when Farrah left the show. It was my favorite show, and it still is, and I watched the show every Wednesday on ABC. They had chemistry, and they loved each other. I can't imagine how long the show would have run had Lee not wanted Farrah to quit. So, it's all Lee's fault! I still have all my posters of Farrah, Jaclyn and Kate, and they're rolled in a tube. The original 3 angels had something you can't replicate. They continued to be good friends after the show.

My friends and I dressed up as Charlie's Angels on Halloween and we all argued who HAD to be Sabrina. All of us wanted to be Farrah so we had to draw numbers. LOL
Sad you and your friends couldn't see Sabrina's immense beauty. She was just as gorgeous but didn't glam it up. One of the many reasons I loved her and still do.
Yeah, Kate Jackson was the best, the prettiest, the most talented actress and she had the extra something. She was the most convincing cop and great fun. Can't get any better. That's why the show bombed when she left. Why little girls favored human Barbie dolls is beyond me.

Fawcett could be with us today had she not chosen less aggressive forms of treatment. Instead she waited until the tumors began to spread, became more difficult to treat all because of her vanity over her hair.
About 1% of the people in the audience know and appreciate these three and how iconic and beautiful these women were, Charlie’s Angels, love boat, I dream of Jeannie, Fantasy island, threes company.....most people have no idea!
I remember watching this magical moment, when it aired live. 3 beautiful women and dear Farrah is sorely missed...may she rest in peace (Aaron too). She fought a courageous and inspiring battle.
