Hear hear, as an Irish fan, the Wallabies have always been my 2nd team. After seeing them play on the great 1984 GS campaign in the NH. The rugby world needs the Wallabies back to their best, it will be a boring game if they slide off the radar.

Enjoyed the podcast.. from Ireland. Don’t hear Mack speak much in interviews so refreshing to hear him as his natural self. He’s a character for sure.
I had my doubts that the clip of Mack going around was real, looked like his hair was ginger, then again from match to match , you would never know. Mack has been a breath of fresh air for Connacht and Ireland, great character and great craic, we love him in Ireland, get well soon Mack, can't wait to see you back for South Africa tour, don't get too fat mate.
Mac Hansen is an absolute legend - Irish rugby would not have always embraced characters - Tony ward case in point - he has come to Ireland at the right time and he is a firm fan favourite

Ireland didn't do it "in 8 years". They rebuilt from the bottom up with the IRFU strategic plans starting in the very early noughties. It's taken the guts of 25 years to get to this point. If we didn't have the players we wouldn't be in the position we are. Best coaches in the world can do nothing without international standard players. The IRFU structures, all the way down to the schools, the academies, the club sides and provincial teams are where the success has been built.

By the way (and you may know this already) Ireland's Call is not the Irish Anthem, it's the song that was written to be able to sing by representatives from both countries on the island of Ireland. This is why when we play at home there are 2 songs "Amhran na bhFiann" the Irish Republic's national anthem and Ireland's Call which refers to the 4 provinces of Ireland

In case anyone from the show checks these, it would be interesting to hear their thoughts on the new laws being tested in Super Rugby Pacific to combat territorial kicking. We saw the French trying to make use of the 'Dupont Law' in the game against Scotland, Finn mostly spotting it so didn't move or pass, which meant he had to kick. So it did become a bit ping pong at times. But I see the 2024 season over your side will be trialling something.
If a try is inconclusive, maybe go back to the last set piece and go again !!!

That's a thought worth thinking about., Snooker allow the ref to reposition the ball after a miss and with modern technology a reply would show exactly where each player was and it would be much quicker than constant replays which resulted in a decision that one team hated and the other loved.

No wonder Aussie rugby is broke! No games, no advertising, no excitement! Kiwi teams are playing trials(cross border? ) in front of full stadiums. In Japan, we don’t get to watch Top 14, URC,Pro D2 or Heineken Cup, even Yank league, on the so called home of rugby Stansport ! Barbarian games full of Aussies whilst World Cup was on ,untelevised? Why?
You’d think whilst there’s no AFL and NRL on, they’d flood screens with our awesome sport!
Also, an Aussies abroad segment would be great,too!

Drew's summary of the Roosters situation is accurate. Reality is though if Joey Manu and Angus Crichton go to T14, they will be replaced seamlessly. Dom Young, the best English winger in the world just signed....the talent in the NRL is endless.
Australia was much stronger when there where only 3/4 teams as there was much stronger cohesion amongt the wallaby players

Just a thought, but if you want an excellent example of whats wrong with Australian Rugby, look no further than the Warratah shield. The fact that NSW had to ban ACT from playing as they were getting destroyed on a regular basis is to my mind indicative of the close minded, rahrah mentality thats desteoyed the sport in Australia.
Another example of the insular Sydney bubble ....
