Greetings!
Baildon is located in the Aire Valley, between the city of Bradford and Rombalds Moor.
Baildon Moor is a great place for walking and is popular with kite fliers and model aircraft enthusiasts. There are fine views across the Aire Valley to the south and west, and Rombald's Moor to the north.
Baildon Moor has a number of outcropping gritstones, and there is a stone circle known as Soldier's Trench which is said to date from the Bronze Age, 3000 years ago. There are also numerous Cup & Ring marks, the origins of these are still unknown.
Baildon hosts many exciting events in which the whole community comes together, like the August bank holiday's Harley Davidson biker rally, the Scarecrow Festival, the annual carnival and Baildon at Christmas. There's lots to see and do: the Victorian tramway at Shipley Glen runs at weekends and Roberts Park, although part of the Saltaire World Heritage Site, is within the Baildon boundary.
