This “squeak” you hear is just a blow off noise/audible characteristic of the upgraded turbos. It’s present in the Gin and R365, but not the IHI/factory turbo. Completely normal.
We believe it was tied to the additional airflow of an aftermarket turbocharger when used with the factory inlet pipe. Once the inlet pipe was upgraded, the sound was gone.

Her breaking the bolt loose before using the electric ratchet shows she's smarter and 95% of most car dudes lool.
I looks like you ended up cutting one of the rubber fittings on the original inlet pipe. Was that done to make the removal easier?

I have the kn intake. Will this work with some minor modifications?
It might. This system is designed to work the best with the PRL HVI or SRI. We cannot guarantee fitment or proper fuel trims from the K&N.
