on a skate board you have to ollie. on a surfboard you use the wave for speed and use a closeout section as a ramp.

I disagree. The slo-mo makes it easier to follow what exactly they did. At its actual speed, you'd miss half of it

@@jenjuice432 Nothing wrong with slow motion, it's the artificial interpolation that just makes it look ridiculous. You miss the same amount when it's all digitally reproduced.

I don’t meant to take away from surfing or professional surfers at all. But I’m not blown away by what is possible in trick surfing. The standard of Skateboarding seems to have been pushed so far recently that tricks you would have never have through would be possible are being done regularly. Really gnarly stuff from people like Milton Martinez, Tfunk, Oski etc. but with surfing the standard of tricks and airs doesn’t blow my mind as much. I’m actually quite happy about it. It’s more about enjoying the wave, riding barrels etc. don’t get me wrong, the stuff I see from Nazare is unbelievable. I’m just talking about trick surfing.
Imagine if the Asphalt was liquid...
Of course it is easier to do impressive tricks with:
1. A tiny skateboard
2. On a non moving, stable surface
Try the same on a moving train or some similar moving platform.
i surf and skateboard, and surfing is way harder. part of it is that you cant build a ramp and have the same one every time. for surfing you have to sit and wait for a wave, and all of the waves are different. waves pools are far easier to do tricks in.
trick surfing is still in its infancy i guess
