One thing, I got the sense that you are thinking Kalandra is the name of the singer, but it's actually the name of the band. Katrine Stenbekk is the lead singer. She is fantastic, but so is the rest of the band.

(this is Joe) I'm glad y'all enjoyed this so much! It's so fun to share new music with people. That pulsing bass synth was what I had in mind asking about compression, and trying to really hear what's going on. I totally agree that all the bits and pieces that give me something to listen to are so much of what I love about this song. Kalandra does a great job with their use of space, too. This is definitely one of those I crank real loud in my car to get myself pumped up when I need it.
