StayArlington: The Old Guard Caisson Platoon

The Caisson platoon of the 3rd U.S. Infantry "The Old Guard" have the honor of carrying a comrade for his last ride to Arlington National Cemetery where he will rest in peace with other honored dead. Six horses, matched gray or black, pull the caisson through the quiet lanes of Arlington National Cemetery. On a visit to Arlington, Virginia, you can tour the stables, pet the horses and see up close how The Old Guard soldiers and horses train and prepare constantly for this solemn duty.
