      @SeizetheDIY  Před 2 lety

      @@dchan3113 Actually the product called Brickwebb (in the vid description) has multiple bricks on sheets like backsplash tile... you just use adhesive and then go back and add mortar between each to make it look legit. I'm going to use that method next time around.

    Just watched all of the vids on your channel so far (all three at this point) and holy shit. Sorry for the language but genuinely so shocked that you’re at less than 5k. I actually had to real life double take when I read that. If CZcams is something you want to succeed at, you will most definitely excel. The video quality is great, the audio, editing, shots, light advertising for yourself that doesn’t feel forced or pushy, and very very informative yet also very digestible. All this to say, great job and I hope you continue making videos :) I’m sure these take quite a while to make, but I’m subbed now with notifications patiently waiting for the day (if it comes, no pressure though)
    Also side note, I’d probably trust any product you endorsed, so if there’s any good brands in the creators comments *hint hint* could be very helpful for you in creating more fun projects in the future and just nice in general I’m sure :) Only good brands though no sweatshops or animal abuse and you’re golden. Thanks for the vid. Hope this isn’t pushy, just wanted to lend a kind word of support for a creator but by no means do you have to do anything other than what you’ve already done :)) Have a good one

      Hi Dead Flower- cool name :) I really appreciate you taking the time to watch my vids and provide positive feedback! All the aspects you talked about (audio, editing, angles... etc) are definitely super important to me- the only downside is that my projects take 3x longer to complete because the video actually amounts to the most work (not the DIY).
      I have more projects coming for sure... I'd love to do this for a living, but for now it's just something I do in my spare time (when I'm not working my day job lol) because I love it. Maybe one day!
      I like the thought of promoting some brands that I love- thanks for the idea! I'll have to think about which ones are cool and have enough integrity to stand behind... and relate back to DIY. I need to continue designing my own apparel so I can pitch that more haha
      Thanks again for the thoughtful comment. Take care :)

      Hi and thanks for the positive feedback! I use Adobe Illustrator because I’m a graphic designer. The software has the capability of drawing simple lines to scale and also rendering based on your level of skill (as there’s no real preloaded textures and surfaces etc). The power of it for me is the ability to layout plans to scale and then create a mock-up visual for me to evaluate and plan the aesthetics of. It also can be used to output several file types for 3d, laser cutting, water-jetting, or cnc.

  • @69ChevyGarage

    Dang, that was a thorough well planned thought out job. I am adding these to my metal garage. What would best to hang large neon signs and metal signs. I will have 1/2 plywood behind it. My fear is if I just screw into the plywood, I will have the width of the brick foam (unsupported) and this will weaken my support. If weight becomes and issue, I probably will just hand my larger heavy signs off the ceiling instead, and leave the lighter stuff for the walls.

    • @SeizetheDIY
      @SeizetheDIY  Před rokem

      Sounds really cool man! Hmmm... as far as hanging the brick panels and the neon signs- those sound like 2 different considerations. The brick panels can literally be glued to drywall with the adhesive listed in the video description and then screwed in here and there (into the plywood would probably be fine), but hanging the large heavy neon signs might require something more substantial behind both the plywood and the brick panels. I'd hate to advise on that and have it fail you, but don't rely on the brick panels for any structural integrity to hold heavy objects- I used the studs for that behind the panels and the drywall.

    • @SeizetheDIY
      @SeizetheDIY  Před rokem

      One thought which IDK is viable or not: is there a way to frame-in some studs between the metal framing behind the plywood? That way you could hang your signs on the wall still

    Hello and thanks for stopping by to watch my 1st vid on CZcams 🎥 🔨
    I hope it helps with some aspect of a faux brick wall installation using faux panels or planning for a master bedroom renovation.
    🎤 Many have commented on the audio and voice over- I’m definitely still new to VO’s- recording and mixing levels, but will be trying some new equipment and processing in the upcoming DIY’s.
    🧱 Some have commented that brick looks fake. It looks real in-person, and planned to do some whitewashing/distressing to add more authenticity… but I would still recommend a new product (see links in vid description) that uses real brick veneers on fiberglass backing sheets which are installed only with adhesive. That will provide authenticity at the same cost as the panels I used a few years ago in this video.
    💡 Links for similar sconces/lights can also be found in vid description.
    🤷🏻‍♂️ I received some random remarks from a few viewers who had a problem with my boots, skinny jeans, tattoos and the idea that I stay in shape. I’m not sure what to do with that… turtlenecks and sandals aren’t my thing lol.
    🤬 Some have left what they considered to be ‘criticism’ which only amounted insults and condescending remarks and were triggered when I labeled them ‘haters’ lol. Humility, collaboration, and kindness are important to me so I’m not sure where that comes from… one only has to read the comments here to see that I appreciate constructive criticism. But, I won’t refrain from sarcastic wit to laugh at the expense of jerks who publicly open themselves up to acting ridiculous.
    🥃 Others have asked about whisky being in a few clips- I don’t make any claim that it is or isn’t and don’t suggest alcohol while working with tools. I consider my filmmaking an art, and invest 3x more time than the build itself just to shoot from interesting angles and position props like the glass. This is not reality tv lol.
    🤜💥🤛 Please enjoy the video and let me know how we can collaborate more. The canopy bed is almost finished and video coming soon! 🤘
