- This episode will be a bit of a rambling neighbourhood update on what this custom neighbourhood looks like today and an intro to the renovation series, where we will be working on cleaning up and renovating this neighbourhood and adding more community lot buildings to it.

Alright, so, I've now caught up on aaaalll of your videos 😅 (what will I watch now on no!) - I loved seeing the history and lore of Simsville, it's so cool to see a hood that has been so played and so loved for such a long time! I wish I could reach in and help you renovate haha, what a massive project. Looking forward to seeing more 😊
Also, I relate to thinking "I don't really like 4t2 stuff" and then watching Kayleigh83 and downloading everything she uses 🤣🙈
Haha 😊 Really glad you enjoyed watching the videos. I realise it's a massive project to take on the entire town. It's weird sometimes how we perceive time. I built that entire apartment complex with the new houses in one sunday afternoon, fully decorated and the small park in front included. And it came out exactly how I wanted it to, especially gameplay-wise. And then deciding on new windows for the Dawson legacy household is taking me two full weeks. Don't even get me started on the kitchen. 😅🤦♀️
Wouldn't it be awesome if you could magically reach in like that and get rid of some obvious eyesores in the neighbourhood, like you did in your 10 minute renovations! 🥰 And I can totally imagine you feel the itch to do that. Some buildings really look horrible from today's point of view. 😂
I do really enjoy the process of transforming the beloved old buildings into something better, while keeping their history somewhat intact. Although I will probably always struggle with architecture. Buildings I design often just don't seem to make sense. But I love when a vision comes together and actually adds more fun gameplay to the neighbourhood and also learning to do new stuff on the way. And I wouldn't mind if it takes long, by now I know I will be playing this neighbourhood long after I reach the Elder lifestage myself, technology willing. 😉
Its really interesting to see how it all started for you and its fun to see what it looks like after all these years! I never did that myself.

Oh my god that new map you created is beautiful! Your entire neighbourhood got a facelift with that!!! 😱I've only heard the hood replacer mentioned before, but this is the first time I actually see before and after pictures (I think). It was great to get to see it all togther and to hear and get to follow along with your plans for the development. This might sound strange but I really look forward to getting a closer look at that police station. Just from the lot imposter alone, it looks amazing!
I was also really happy to learn a bit more about you this episode - dutch with italian roots? I feel like we got a bit closer from that alone, knowing you are so close to my part of the world 🥰I hadn't really thought of it, but now that you mention that you're dutch I recognize your accent from a dutch colleague of mine.

The hood replacer sounded a bit scary at first, but using Marie Kondo's "if it doesn't spark joy" , 😂 I finally decided to get rid of the gaps between those roads. And just like with the lotadjuster, it's a lot less scary once I've figured out how it works. Glad you liked the development plans! There are so many projects that I would like to take on in that n-hood, and considering the amount of time I can spend on it, they're really all long term plans. But at least the foundation for it is all there now. 😄
Thinking about the time it cost, the police station took me 3 sunday afternoons, which isn't that bad, all things considered. My bf didn't agree with the fence I had put around it (😂😂) and he had a good point, so I spent another few hours finding the fence you see in the video. And it really does add so much more realism to it. I show some footage of the police station in use in the video about the gameplay rules, but I'm also planning on a video to show the building in a bit more detail, so that will be up in the somewhat near future, hopefully.
I'm glad I could give you some pieces of the puzzle to make myself a little bit less anonymous. 😄🥰 We really aren't that far apart on this globe.😊

Been watching your new series since watching Ani Bats latest vid and really enjoying it all. Been playing Sims 2 since it came out (not at the moment as my laptop was stolen) but Sims 3 is the other. Looking forward to everything you have planned and thank you!
