How does alcohol increase your breast cancer risk?

Drinking alcohol increases the chance that women will develop breast cancer, particularly ER+ve breast cancer.
The more you drink, the greater the increase in risk.
That DOESN’T mean that everyone with #breastcancer who drank got it because they had a glass or two or three. Hell, I drank like a fish at university.
The 2 biggest reasons women get breast cancer are having breasts and getting older.
BUT regular alcohol does increase your risk. It’s only by a small amount and I’ll do a reel later today that explains in simple numbers what that increase actually means for you.
BUT if you are worried about getting breast cancer, or any of the other 6 cancers that alcohol can cause, you could think about cutting back
