Recent subscriber man had no idea you were from Houston. It was a crazy Saturday for us too we had watched the fight and shortly afterwards the rain just came and didn't stop. My aunt left our house and didn't make it home she had to spend the night on the Beltway because the exits flooded. None of us thought it was going to be as bad as it was. We stayed up for hours just watching the water rise and it inched closer and closer and never had we seen the water that high. Man I don't even want to continue either but fortunately only the garage flooded but I had some family get several feet of water inside their houses and even had to get rescued by boat, but stay strong brother we made it.
Very happy that you and your family are safe, and that your home survived the storm. I never have been in any kind of hurricane before. I probably would have panicked about my home theater, and Blu ray collection as well. We invest a lot of time effort and money into collection, but in the end of the day, like you said family is the most important thing. Thank you for sharing your story.

I didn't wanted to read the comments as I wanted to hear it from you first about your situation. When I saw the rack empty where you put your collection I thought the worse. Thank you for sharing this unfortunately situation. Prayers and thoughts are for you and the community during this tragedy. I'm living in Los Angeles and hits me hard every time when I see the news. Hey David ! I completely understand what your going though I am also from Houston Texas and was not thinking that the hurricane was going to be that bad . I lost everything in my home my home was flooded for 4 days in bear creek village I left two cars there lost that my one year old son lost everything as well . And I was a big movie collection as well and sadly thinking that I lost a good collection. But we are safe and trying to get back on our feet as well . I'm happy your safe and god bless you ! I understand how you feel man. I’m from Houston. My moms whole house. My childhood home was lost. She lost her car. My house also got flooded but not like my moms. Everything was lost. It’s sad what happens to our city. But we will all bounce back man. Take care bro

David! For the amount of time I have been watching your channel I never knew you were in Houston...my heart breaks for you and your family as well as for the city! Take your time in making new videos for us. We will be here when you return. Just focus on your family and community as you guys get back to your now new normal. I am so sorry that you had to go through this. 2017 has been a rough year for me, but I can only imagine how rough this is for you. You handled it well. You may not feel that you did, but you did what you needed to do to protect your family. And at the end of the day that is all that matters.

I stay on the on the southwest side of Houston and it was pretty terrifying seeing the water quickly move up to my drive way. Never got inside the house thank God but man so many people lost it all. David you're not alone, our city of Houston has shown the whole country what we're capable of, not even a 1 in a 40,000 year rain catastrophe can knock us out. I've donated clothes, water and tomorrow I'm helping people clean out debris from their homes. Take your time and don't worry about this CZcams thing, it will be here when you're ready.

Bro I know what your going threw . 2017 been a extremely hard year for me . My mom battling brain cancer we lost our house and everything because we would pay the rent anymore . We had no where to stay . Thank god my mother build a house in Paraguay South America so moved to my mom country. Bro let me tell you one thing you can always get stuff back your family is what matters . Thank god your alive and your family . It took me a long time to be positive in life agin . i know what you're going through, lost everything myself 3x including house and family etc.
I'm glad you're safe but as someone living in a hurricane State I think people discount importance of having something as simple as a battery operated radio so they can continue to receive news to make those important choices for your family and also people don't realize but when you go to a shelter they do not provide food you have to provide your own food for your family so when they suggest water can goods at the start of a potential hurricane please make sure to stock up it's important for everyone's safety
It is kind of ironic that a movie with the tagline "You'll float too" came out so soon after a hurricane this devastating.
