- UDM leader Bantu Holomisa, says Chief Justice Raymond Zondo has acknowledged receiving their letter requesting an urgent meeting over the formation of the government of national unity. He also says Zondo needs to advise if the ANC has authority over other political parties.

This gentleman fills me with hope. It's so good to see politicians who actually advance the wellbeing of the nation, rather than their own greed. South Africa needs to grow up, and people like this are the only ones who can make that happen.
They have a good point, since our Politicians lack maturity to resolve matters on their own, then the CJ has to intervene. It’s unfortunate that this Country has run out of genuine and legitimate politicians, they all have private agendas as such unable to reach amicable position.

The General is quite correct can an invitation be extended by the ANC to the parties without fully explaining the concept and philosophy of what is meant by a GNU, it looks like the ANC is expecting bums to warm the seats they need to run government without proper consultations or expectations , knowing these positions will be potentially useless and without real power, they are now desperate so the MK has rejected their offers and the DA will not entertain their nonsense offer.
The General makes sence. Prudence and caution need mutual respect.. With clarity / transparency will do much to avoid suspicious minds or intentions.

According to Prof Mnwanati a government of national unity is for a party with a majority in parliament. It is very strange to establish a government of national unity without having a majority.
If the anc mess up they will be held accountable. They still cant control because the others will stop them. No one can blame the others. However if there are parties that have self interests they can side with anc. So, a delicate balance. The eff worry me. They want stupid shit and don't care. But they small fry.

Besides the absurdity of his suggestion the chief justice can't get involved in political/executive issues because of separation of powers.

The land issue is complicated cause we already seen what happened in Zim. Zanu PF cronies & Mugabe's wife ended up with hundreds of commercially lucrative farms while other ppl got farms where they just sold what was there & moved on.
Even here ppl are not interested in using the land but just want the money. We cannot face economic collapse & food scarcity because we have a half shot land distribution plan. The ANC cannot manage anything. They are corrupt to the core. The cannot manage land redistribution. Land needs money also what will we do about that?
