I got my rough sable Collie puppy when he was nine weeks old. He lived to be eleven years old and was the best dog I ever owned. Great breed! Great personalities!
I would think so. They are going to be energetic as puppies, but are very calm natured and gentle as parents. My "house dog" is one of my retired collies. She is so gentle with my 18 month old baby and my two older children.

I struggle with anxiety and depression. Brushing and grooming my collies is my therapy! They are so genuine and loyal.
