You've done a great job considering tools available to you- my only advice: You NEED to use seam sealer, stone chip then underseal on your post primer welds, and weld through primer before you weld- fiberglass will likely accelerate the rotting process- it will hold moisture from when you applied it. Old underseal around your repair doesn't prevent moisture travelling under the new underseal that you have applied!!! finally Don't leave any surface rust on any panel before you weld it, more hassle scraping it off after its on the car! Keep up the good work!

after you have ground it back, do another pass with the welder and join the dots, then you have a continuous metal repair and it is actually strong. plus you dont need fibreglass over the top since it will be a solid weld all around keeping the water out. using filler where the wheel splashes water will just hold water and rust out fast. Well done for having a go tho.

Nice work dude, lovin' that e28 with style 32's. Great to see you using additional axle stands too. This thing should live and drive for ever with you on the job! 😎👍

I also have style 32’s on my 528e super eta 17” staggered, set up 225/45-17 up front and 255/40-17 on the rear had to roll the left rear a little bit but that’s it looks amazing especially with the Michelin pilot super sports 4S

Beautiful job dude. I just replaced both floor pans in me E28 after several patch repairs. For some reason water creeps in and accumulates under the carpet where the foam gets saturated with water. Try and find any leaks or you’ll be doing it again soon. Beautiful car though and great video. Thanks!

Thank you bud. Stay tuned for body work and paint; I’ll be starting once it’s warm out again. Also it sounds like your drains are clogged. There’s water drains in the sunroof and under the side fins on the left & right side of the car. They lead and drain out of the wheel wells. You likely don’t have leaks but your drains are clogged! Use an air compressor to clear them out. Good luck!

bros settings on the welder are way off. welds look cold, that could just be me tho but i would crank up the voltage to 2 and wire speed to 6 or 7.

After a week of dialing in, the settings I used were best. 6/7 sadly kept blowing holes. Settings will depend on your material thickness
