- How to use weed killer. l'm not a big fan of using these chemical sprays but sometimes you need to so let me show you how so you prevent letting the poison drift and go into water systems or creeks.

One of the best videos I've seen. To the point, precise and covering major questionable areas around weed killing. I have to take up this project for my newly acquired home. Beautiful backyard, but the weeds are killing me. So it's time for payback. Thanks for the wonderful vid again.
Hate to tell you this but it is not the weeds that will kill you...it is this poison.

i just weed sprayed my driveway for the first time using 10ml per litre roughly, i did 3 lanes down the drive, 1st lane soaked the weeds, 2nd gave the weeds a quick soak spray, 3rd a light spray without soaking, then i searched and found this vid. pity i didnt notice any warnings on the bottle about wearing gloves etc but all the bottle says is avoid contact with eyes and skin in tiny writing :(

thanks, Renntag, i'm anti monsanto too, i'll look into organic weed control for you. l know a lot of natural weed killers but they acidify the soil to the extent that things cant grow back there.
nonanoic acid is a famous organic weed killer but I am not sure will it acidify the soil to the extent that plants can't grow back.
What about spraying around small trees with irrigation rings?

Ah, detergents reduce the surface tension of water, so the leaves will be 'wet' rather than having the water 'beading' on the surface. Hopefully folks can use an enviro-friendly liquid for the mix..

Greg shows how many mils to use when mixing the chemicals together for the right amount.
using more than required doesn't do a better job, just pollutes the ground more.

Hello. I'm from the philippines and I have a problem
I followed your procedure but the solution can't spray. Then I add bakjng soda and it foamed but still can't spray.
I ended up pour the solution on the weeds.
What went wrong? I also used same type of pump you used in this video. Our brand for the herbicide is klear weed, our local.brand
What am I missing. The herbicide I bought encouraged adding Amonium Sulfate and that is what I did not have.
What is your advise?
By the way, I'm.not a gardener. We just have a larde open yard that is covered with wild grass and weed and I'm pissed so I decided to buy the herbicide and do it myself.
Just brought a house with a massive garden there is a big arch in the middle of the garden in the past they dressed the arch in ivy today it has taken over every bit of fencing in the garden you cant see one bit of fence line for a week now i have been cutting away at this stuff with a chainsaw and im fighting a losing battle
So just going to cover this hole place with weedkiller and try and get back to a blank canvas
Do you know if you must also add soap when using MCPA?
no you dont need to, it just helps it stick to the weeds a little better

I go full protective gear
People should really be wearing long gloves, long sleeves, gumboots and eye protection/ mask while mixing and spraying. Mixing most importantly due to high concentration is much more dangerous than the mixed spray. Be careful out there ! Better safe than sorry :)

I've sprayed Glyphosate, and most of the plants are withering. How do I remove them once they're dead? Do I simply pull them out? Most are 1 Foot tall ones.

well spotted laddie, Im on a bit of an anti chemical mission as I suspect round up contributed to an illness I had.
ivy hard to kill mate, you realy need a penetrant as well. dishwashing liquid is realy only a surfactant. "pulse" is a good one and follow the directions. they know the best rates. adding more doesnt help.
does it really make ya feel funny? hahaha i remember i helped my grandfather in the garden one day. i didnt realize it was spraying, all over his nice grass there was a brown path of where i had walked. hahaha, he wasn't impressed.
