I heard that one of the teams that folded the Oregon Blackbears has retuned to play so at least there’s some good news and hope.
They have returned! Touched on that in the Week 4 video (available now 😁)
That’s awesome a women is playing professional football! When I coached HS for a few years after graduating I worked a lot with our girl kicker and she was pretty good, but one of the best kickers I’ve ever seen in HS was a girl from Johnston, Rhode Island who was booting 40-50 yarders in warm ups
Man it's been a ride. Been following since just before week 1... and instead of entertaining on field sport, we got "entertaining" off-field drama. Hope the best for all the dedicated players and staff members. Best of luck to Fisher to seeing the remaining teams can fight it out for a title in the end.
Hopefully we’ll be able to focus to on-field stuff from here on out.
Really glad to hear Hutton is gone. He clearly was in way over his head. The things his wife said about the Myth folding sound like a whole lot of sour grapes. Hey Diana, if your husband had done a better job there wouldn't have been all the "negative publicity." It sucks more teams folded, but with some of them at least either the arena was terrible or players weren't getting paid, etc. I hope Fisher can right the ship and at least keep them going through the end of the season.

I was initially excited to watch the Oregon Blackbears but now I am counting my blessings for procrastination, thank God I waited to get tickets. If the league gets shored up and they come back next year I will give them a clean slate. At this moment though I have very little trust in the AFL.
Don’t blame you there. Trust has to be earned. And I think this new direction will prove most critical.

We didn’t either! But we’re not out of the woods just yet.
Something had to be done in the AFL to right the ship. 16 teams might have been too much to handle for the first season, hopefully, the rest of the season can run smoothly, but still a blackeye on the once proud name. However, I would love to grab a VooDoo cap; it is a sweet logo!
We were very skeptical but optimistic about the 16 teams…guess it really was too much to launch with. At least, the way they were trying to structure things.
It’s a long road…
But this is a positive sign.

Adam, I share your sentiments and it bume me out that sux Arena Football League teams have ceased operations. I hope the league can finish the 2024 season.
It should have never started with 16. But it’s evident that contracting down to 10 was the healthiest way to keep the league as a whole moving towards the finish line.

Well, that’s tough. Maybe Chicago and Phoenix since they are waiting in the wings. Beyond that, I don’t think they should add any more.
I think that they will finish the season. There are handful of strong organizations such as the Kats, Firebirds, Predators, and the Outlaws to name a few.
