Thanks a lot for the reply! I subscribed btw! =D And is the i7 better for other stuff? I would mainly have it as a gaming pc but does it process certain programs faster or does it make your computer faster in any way? Because I've worked for the i7 and have the money for it, but if it does not have any benefit over the i5 it would be a waste of money. Last thing: is the i5 better than the i7 or are the equal on the gaming side?
I think if you took the middle island and hid your bowman and ninja on the mountain areas in a kill-box orientation, you may be able to win. Primary goal would be to take pressure off of your center, and force either a simultaneous moral-break on back/front to cause panic, or force them to spread their troops out enough so you can deal with the bulk. Also, use your melee charge!
absolutely. ivy bridge is about 10% faster, clock for clock, than its predecessor. this is an i5-2500k at 4.8ghz. an i5-3570k at 4.7 will be slightly faster.

You has god position to defend on this mountain, there your hero units can cooperate and also you could hide your cavalry in forrest to strike from behind many times, and run your archer cavalry to pull away some of their ashigaru. It was bad battle my friend, but interesting idea.
this is an i5-2500k overclocked to 4.8GHz. that is pretty much the best performance that money can buy. you wont find a video with 40,000 men in which the soldiers are not moving like teleporting robots for the next 5 years, unless rome 2 improves multi-core support. 99% of people's games would crash within 3 minutes if they went over 30,000 men. now you know.
routing is what makes others rout, and that only works locally, not when there are hundreds of units, most of which are not already shaken/wavering. it isnt possible.
given even very good circumstances, heroes can only get about 1000 kills, max. it just isnt conceivable that the heroes could possibly have won this battle. try it yourself. reenact a small scale version of this battle. pick a hero unit and put it against 5000 yari ashigaru. it wont get above 1500 kills before it succumbs, ever.
indeed. if i get an ivy bridge/haswell extreme edition with lquid cooling, i could perhaps manage a solid 5-10fps on this, at 5.3ghz, lol not sure if that will happen though. my video production and views would have to increase astronomically to make it worth it. but for rome 2, i want the best.
lol if you read the readout, he is getting around a constant 30 fps, it seems in nearly every TW game since Empire that there is visible lag of the units, but not actual lag due to low framerate. Check and mate

Also, how did you get 240men in the unit? Mine only has 200. I don't think it's my PC, considering it has an i7 running at 3.3ghz, 8gb memory, x79 motherboard, and a gtx 690.
I highly doubt any computer would be able to run that, he has a little more than 40 000 men on the field and he already has a way lower fps rate, now imagine having 160 000 men, it just wouldnt be possible.

Well...to be fair, 9/10 times it will be the person's computer that cannot handle the "Big Battles". So it was being safe to assume that it was your computer than couldn't handle this. So with that said, i don't think targeting someone's intelligence is really the correct way to go about it.
