Can you speak about the extrusion method that I have heard (Integrity Repipe on CZcams) mentioned about PEX-A from Zurn and Uponor? He said A method is inferior from B method extrusion. Also, how well it handle chlorinated water?
Considering getting into plumbing but lots of people say it’s hard on the body(crawling around in tight crawl spaces). How often would you say you’re doing drain repipes and is there a way to not do that?
Lots of crawling in tight spaces. Not only for drain pipes, but also for installing water pipes. You will get dirty, and at the end of the day, you will be exhausted. You definitely have to be in good physical shape. Also, you will see stuff under the house you usually don't see - like dead animals, snakes, spiders, etc. It is not for everybody. But it is an honest trade. Once your business catches momentum, you will be doing (very) well. But it takes few years to reach that point so you will have to be patient. PS: There is no money in re-pipes. Companies do repipes only to keep their employees busy. Money is in repairs and remodeling. Good luck.
Everything hurts. You will never be without a cut or abrasion in your hands. Carcinogens are all around you. You will get human waste on you at some point, despite all efforts to avoid it. The days are long. Lunch breaks will become a figment of you imagination. But I've been at it for 16 years now and I guess there's no turning back. What a joyous existence lol
Waterproofing is measured by the force holding the connecting surfaces together, with a compression membrane between them. This is worse than sharkbite, its push fit without teeth. What holds it together from water hammer?
Best expansion tool and best pex. Its flexible for less fittings if you use it right, full size fittings (most type B pex has a smaller ID so it constructs the volume), and, if frozen, will not burst and with a heat gun will return to original shape if it does freeze. There is no downside other then the one time they had a bad batch but we don't talk about that...

Pex A has true 1/2" ID fittings.(Or, rather, ID of fittings and Pex actually match) Pex B had a 3/8" to 1/4" ID. How it's accepted by code is beyond me.
Haha no idea man. A lot of people comment that they like crimp fittings better. I realize it’s faster, but it’s definitely more restrictive of flow. I’d love to put a side by side test to actually see the difference.
Faucets have tiny holes for water saving along with shower heads. How does a smaller inside diameter actually restrict flow when the faucets have tiny holes? Serious question as someone brought this up to me in response to me telling them pex b fittings restrict flow.

The PEX A pipe will forever shrink back down to it’s original size making a water tight seal

So far I love the process. It’s a little more time consuming than PEX-B but I like the full flow of the fittings and the clean look of it.
Yeah, there’s definitely pros and cons of both processes, but I’m definitely loving PEX-A more right now
