    The barrel is chrome moly vanadium steel and it is chromed. It also has polygonal rifling. These are very high quality in all areas where it really matters.

      They are sighted at 25 meters.

    Purchased one a couple months ago solid gun. The safety is soft without a bullet in the chamber with a bullet in the chamber there is a noticeable increase in stiffness. If you want to change the sights they are Novak cut. Highly recommend especially if you are looking for a full size, high quality gun on a budget. Also out of curiosity I owb carried it all winter and it was just as comfortable as my Walter PPS M2 compact. Holster is a Orpaz brand

    I wrote IWI to ask about the finish on the Jericho 941. They replied that it's "proprietary". I asked if there are some cleaning "don't do's". They said to clean exterior with a cleaning oil and not to use mineral spirits.
    My best guess is the finish on the 941 is a high quality parkerized finish. The metal finish is super smooth and I really like how it feels. I've had no issues with it,, no corrosion etc. I oil it and wipe it dry. I think this Jericho Enhanced has the same parkerized finish on its slide.

    Springfield EMP4 sights regulated at 25 yards like the Jericho and Masada pistols. Basically, either "dot the I" for distance or obscure the target when shooting closer in.

    • @hardlylivin6602
      @hardlylivin6602 Před 2 lety +1

      I've heard more than a few people say that longer range zeros cause low shot placement at close range but that makes no sense to me.
      If you are impacting low with proper sight alignment that tells me that the muzzle is pointing below the sight axis of your irons, assuming the shooter themselves is not causing the issue, or an it's ammo issue. If you are having to raise the front post over the top of your rear sights to hit at close range that tells me that the muzzle is now pointing over the (now modified) sight axis of your irons. The bullet trajectory only drops once it leaves the muzzle, at no point should it rise mid flight over the bore axis line of the muzzle itself. So if you are hitting very low at close range, at no point is the bullet going to rise to meet the target at extended ranges. It's only going to drop from there.
      Any time I've ever seen low shot placement, it's either shooter induced, or ammo, or the front sight is too tall.

    Own both a cz 75 sp01 and just picked up the Jericho II. And honestly, they are neck and neck. They both shoot laser beam accurate. And both are made with the utmost quality. Trade deals and imports with Isreal are much less in taxes than other countries because they are one of our closest allies. So they can drop the price a bit and still make good profit because of that. Anyway...after that rant. I can tell you the Jericho II is top quality in every way. You feel like your holding a badass, superprb quality firearm in all the attention to details on this gun! Great controls too. Very good steel and very sturdy slide lock. Perfectly placed too. And again, accuracy is stunning on this gun, probably the polygonal rifling. And there is just something sexy about that slanted front of frame and barrel is sexy and unique. Like I said. One isn't better than the other. They are almost one and the same internally. Both are 2 of the best 9mm pistols ever made. I can hit coke cans at 75 yards with both. It really is a badass gem of a gun that flies under the radar

      When we first started finding out about CZ all we could do was talk about how amazing they were. Rare if ever misfires or mishaps when operating them, and then we came across the Jericho and others. Needless to say 2021 will have to include a second look at other firearms of the like. We were definitely impressed, not so much to say they are better than Glock (CZ), but for that to even be in the conversation is saying something! Better than Glock as far as reliability and mishaps are concerned

      In the late 90’s I owned both a H&K USP 40 full size and a Magnum Research “Baby Eagle” .45. Came on some bad times in the early 2000’s, had to sell some guitars and guns. In picking out a few guns, it killed me to pick out the baby eagle. I knew I would have a hard time replacing the H&K as they were going up in price. The baby eagles were holding value, but not going up.
      Fast forward to 1/22/2023, I was finally able to replace my IMI Jericho with a IWI Jericho II in 9mm. Got the 3.8” barrel version. Very happy with this hand gun. Typical build quality for an Israeli tool.

    I'm pretty sure you could drop it to a "half cock" position like you can on the 941...but yes, there is no decock lever. It also has a firing pin block that is defeated when trigger is pulled, so carry cocked and locked is better than trying to drop the hammer all the way down manually to decock on top of a live round.

    I have the standard Jericho 941 full size all steel and the sights are exactly the same with the gun advertised as having a 25 meter zero with hot ammo. Although with that said. With the standard sight setup the gun should shoot high at closer ranges to compensate for drop at the extended ranges. My gun for example prints about 2 inches high at 10 yards but is on at 30 yards.
    I'm not sure why the Israeli's like extending pistol zeros beyond what they'll practically be used at but it's what they like doing. Another more extreme example would be the IMI/IWI produced Desert Eagles. Those guns were zeroed for 100 meters from the factory. In fact mine prints about 6 inches high still at 100 yards.

    Lot's of confusion on CZ Clones. Keep in mind that you could buy an FIE Tanfoglio TZ75 long before you could buy a CZ75 in the US. IWI changed the styling a bit, but for many years the parts for the "Jerichos" came from Tanfoglio in Italy and were assembled in Israel. A couple of Turkish cloners were on top of the Clone Game, but when Canik started having success with the TP9 series, they dropped manufacturing of their CZ clones. Sarsilmaz thru SAR USA may do the same which kind of points to the logic, or lack thereof, of these Turk brands. They advertise all kinds of hype with terms like NATO and ISO etc. All fine and dandy until you get to meet their US Importer firsthand, where CS means bob and weave and buyer pays shipping both ways. Tanfoglio shed themselves from EAA for the same reason. IWI, might be better, but I have NO experience with them. CZ USA bought a sizable tract of land on the east side of Little Rock, AR. for a US Manufacturing plant. Before construction started, they bought Colt and there is no plant in AR. CZ has had some unfortunate failures by trying to cut costs. Maybe their MIM technology has improved, but the one thing the Turks did right with their CZ/Tanfo Clones was to use all-forged steel parts. While they maybe impressed with themselves, CZ is not SIG, Walther nor the overrated HIK. This is all unfortunate, because the best CZ is not a CZ. It's a Tanfoglio. Now sold thru their US Importer: Italian Firearms Group . . . with a very favorable exchange rate for the EURO . . . meaning price is higher than it should be.

    I have the Jericho 941 PL9, as in Polymer and it has been around for a few years. The only difference between what I have and the "Enhanced Jericho" is it doesn't have the serrations on the front or the variable backstraps. The Israeli's chamber a round when needed using the "Israeli draw" but it takes practice. As a old veteran who used 1911's, I have no problem going "Cocked and Locked" but I can see how others might not be used to it. Once one gets used to the Jericho, one cannot find a more accurate pistol within its price range.

    You can always pull the hummer half way, idk if you’ve tried that, lmk if that helped, I had jerichos all my life and I can shoot better a Jericho than a Glock lol

      Yeah I half cock the hammer for safety reason in the case it’s dropped and hits the hammer it won’t impact the firing pin hard enough to cause it to fire. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already

    How does this compare to the CZ P07??? Are they basically the same? What do you think?

    • @GSquaredTactical
      @GSquaredTactical  Před 3 lety +2

      That’s not a question you want to ask us mainly me (Gene). I’m very partial to CZ!! I know that Trey is as well. If we had to pick a favorite brand of you pinned us down it would be CZ all day. I personally think the P07 is way better than the Jericho.

      The only time I’ve ever saw this gun in store is when I bought it. I don’t carry the gun, I don’t use it for night stand, truck or otherwise it stays in the safe. If I could fine some different sights for it I may would use it more. I like the Masada better, but I got it because it’s iconic, different and of course it is a very good quality gun. I’m not sure I’ve ever saw it in store since I bought it and $479 is a good price
