Just found your channel and I am LOVING it!! You had me sold when you mentioned IDC Woodcrafts. I’ve consumed my fair share of M&Ms from the number of purchases. The Hog is a game-changer and Garrett is a big supporter of the Women Who CNC FB group, of which I am a proud member.

Thank you for the comment and the kind words. It’s been a minute since I’ve posted any new content…be on the lookout because I have some good stuff coming soon! Yes…Garrett is a solid dude! Go IDC!

The Dewalt would be so perfect to help star up my wood shop. Fresh out of school and no longer have access to tools.

Totally understand. I started out with a couple of cordless drills and a hand saw. It doesn’t take much. The added benefit is developing skills to work around, not having expensive tools. I would also suggest that you keep your eyes open for used tool deals. Good luck!

Have you tried v-inlays yet? I've had great results on cutting boards using them.

Not yet...however I just received the bits to do them. Looking forward to using them as I too here the v-inlays produce better results. Any advice or tips/tricks you can provide, I'm all ears. Thanks!!

@eastwingvintagewoodworking4797 I use vcarve and it took a few tutorial videos and a couple mistakes to wrap my head around the toolpaths. I run my v bit as my first path then my clearing bits. I've had less tear out using that order. With edge grain I've had decent results with 60° bits and if it's end grain 30° has worked well if there's lots of fine detail. Best of luck!
