Do you have to grease the bearing before you install it again? Since it sits in oil when you fill the dill again 🤔

Can you explain the logic of the shrinking outer race ???
Before I knew about this, I spent hours trying to remove damage or worn bearing from inside of shafts, as is it very tight. By shrinking the outer race, the clearance becomes bigger, making it easier to remove the old worn or damaged bearing. 5 minutes work vs. hours.
