- Lieutenant Jessa Mendoza of the Philippine Navy tells a Senate panel she was falsely tagged as an incorporator of 193 companies linked to POGOs, and she had been wrongly accused of crimes committed by POGOs she supposedly owns. She insists her only source of income is her salary as a member of the Navy.

having said the above, and just out of my curiousity based on reading news about the Philippines, HOW COME almost all the agencies who are against this are all saying it's all in the hands of Junior. if you yourself are following news around the country, no less than the Sec of the Dept of Finance, Ralph Recto is saying he will "recommend to Junior" a total ban. PAGCOR is also singing on the same tune if ever; and also just two days ago the present panel of the Senate is even asking the National Security Council's help for them to convince Marcos for the total closure og POGOs in the country.

If these POGO companies were registered to BIR, wala bang due diligence ang BIR mismo to check if these listed incorporators ay may capacities to sustain such businesses prior to giving permits sa mga business. Clearly, this hearing should not just focus on Alice gou and sa mga POGO runners but also should start investigating the government institutions which allowed these businesses to exist in the first place despite dubious credentials.
This highlights the incompetence of the government agencies involved. Sana may batas na magawa as a result of this investigation at di lang papogi points kay sen Hontiveros.

The buck starts with the SEC. They do not scrutinize the veracity of the names of the incorporators. You can put your dog's name and invent a TIN number and it will pass. Then the notarizing system that is not regulated properly. Upon investigation, the alleged lawyer that notarized the documents is non-existent and the alleged the lawyer is non-esistent and the roll number belongs to another attorney.

These is very common in POGO community. They registered hundreds or thousands of shell companies using identities of locals stolen somewhere and being sold to foriegners since they are not permitted to own corp for lack of neccesary legal papers.

These hearings in the Senate are supposed to be in aid of legislation so all these information gathered by the Senate can be used to amend our laws, procedures and processes in government. So gaya ng batas sa late registration ng birth, sinasamantala kaya maraming nakakalusot. Marami na tayong outdated na batas na hindi nakakasabay sa mga pagbabago. Gaya ng batas sa digitization, kelangan higpitan talaga kasi maraming nabibiktima ng data theft, scams at iba pang online crimes. Sadly they have no validation process and the same is true for the PAGCOR. Isaw and vegetable vendors and Karinderya helper are now in trouble and may be jailed without bail. Their names were used as incorporators of Lucky99 POGO hub in Porac, Pampanga.
