I've heard that acrylic drums are much heavier than wood drums. What is your experience on this when gigging with the acrylic kit?

@@van2810 the DW design acrylics are about the same weight as wood. I can’t really tell a difference. The DW Collectors with RCI acrylics are WAY heavier than wood, but I don’t gig those.
I just got a Ludwig vistalite and they feel lighter than wood.
