Nice video. Loving Greenland, as always. I'm just curious... why does the airport use Flightradar24 (designed for consumers) rather than a professional aircraft tracking system?
Most likely the tower does not have radar - so it uses the ADSB data. I suspect that was more for us youtubers to understand the situation than for the AFIS to use in Operations.
Very nice and informatie video Martina. A question : Isn't de-icing in this way dangerous? (harmful to health)? Because the person works from an open basket (at most airports these are closed cabins). I am referring to the inhalation of the chemicals?
I think most aircraft maintainers have gone to the more eco-friendly Propylene glycol because of health and safety issues associated with Ethylene Glycol - antifreeze.

FR24 not used operational - in this case only on the screen to show the viewers how the aircraft had to maneuver (and do missed approach on first attempt) to get in to landing. No surveillance equipment in use at Greenlandic public AFIS airports only at BGSF ATC.
