Very similar situation here. I shattered both sides of my left ankle and split the tibia up from my foot a ways 15 yrs ago. I now am starting to have to use a cane as well. When you limp people usually can't tell what specific area it is. When someone asks what happened I also use the line. You can find fellow gamers who get a kick out of it and then sometimes you get those folks who just give you the blank stare. I laugh much harder at the dumbfounded folks.

I actually looked for a mod so I could become a guard. There is one on Nexus, but the steam version was discontinued.
