Hi Shawn! I appreciate you getting this kit out so quickly. I’m very impressed with the performance of this truck over others in my collection. Thank you 🙏🏻

Hello Shawn, I recently got upgrade part 97400900 "EMO Differential Lock Control Kit", which I believe allows a diff-lock servo to be mounted by the battery tray, BUT...there are no instructions on how to fit any of the parts. I thought it ought to be fairly obvious but there are many different possible orientations of the parts. Do you know how these parts are supposed to be installed? Thanks.

I know and I'm rather upset about that too knowing this would be an issue. My suggestion is to call the store Tuesday after 10am central time. I'll be there and we can talk about how I did it. The pictures are up on the site and most of what you need is in one picture. Otherwise I'm here to help.

@@Xoarkitty Thanks, the photo really helps. In fact it is the only one I have seen that shows the installation and I searched quite a bit. I should be able to set it up now! Thanks again!

@@BlackSeaRC You're welcome. Funny fact, it took two AT4 owners to figure this out. The other Shaun at the store figured out the servo mount, I figured out the routing. The only issue I still had was the shift cable provided is too short even for the front differential. I ended up cutting down the stock cable and plugging the hole in the rear cover where the cable enters. Locked rear, lockable front.

@@Xoarkitty I have now had a chance to assemble all the pieces together to fit the diff-lock servo under the battery tray on my AT4V. On the AT4, the side floor section and side under-protection is level with the top of the chassis frame. However, on the AT4V it is raised up. You can see in my AT4V kit build video (see 5:35 and 23:49) that this means the servo will not fit in the space available. My options are to make cut-outs in various components to make space for the servo arm (not ideal as it will weaken the under-protection and let dirt inside), or raise up the battery tray using spacers of some kind (again, not the best solution as I want weight low down and I wanted to try to fit a scale interior). The compromise I have come up with is to actually angle the battery tray to one side using a spacer on the left side and the rear only. This just gives enough space for the servo to operate and keeps the battery as low as possible. I will show the details in the next part of my video.
