In my little herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats, I select only one buck every year. all others gets castrated, so there is no confusion who will be the father of newly bred. Castrated, they grow faster than intact males, more meat, and because they are not sexually active, the meat is tender and NO SMELL.. They can mix with the does without any worries about getting pregnant. We only give that job to the best qualified buck. The does get to nurse her kids 2 months before I milk them. Small 70 pound doe gives 7 pounds of 7% high butterfat milk. That's 10% of body weight. I wanted to introduce this breed to the Philippines. They look like scaled down Saanen. (Pronounced SAH-NEN,Not Sa-a nen) even if it has 2 A's) erect ears, mostly white some have other colors.If I was 15 years younger, I'll be there and introduce Nigerian Dwarf Goats. 7 pounds is about 2.4 liters, that's the top of lactation cure.

Ang kambing sa Pinas pang=pulutan lang. May mag aalaga ng Boer Goats tapos tinitipid din ng pakain, kaya puro buto. Kung tama ang feeds, isang kambing makakapagbigay ng 2 litrong gatas. Yung Napier grass lukohan lang yun. mas masustansyapa ang Kugon. Elephant grass nga naman kasi walang ibang damo sa Africa.
Hindi pinapakain ng high protein, damo lang. Walang asin o minerals, yung iba walang tubig. Needs to study animal feeding.

Dairy is the third largest imports after wheat and soy beans. Goats provide more milk than cows the world over. Some people with more money than brains imports Holstein cows hoping to get12-15 gallons a day of milk daily if they were in air conditioned room. If born in the Phiippines they get acclimatized there but they still need Alfalfa hay to give some milk. Tropical breeds like Sahiwal gives 15 gallons of milk a day, no air conditioning needed..plant soy beans it is native to SEAsia, Alfalfa needs winter temperature.

I respect the poster, but I wish that we could see that God did not put humans on the planet to intensively farm it's other animals. Eating meat and drinking milk is not necessary for good health. Many delicious vegetable, tofu and legume alternatives exist to make a beautiful healthy body. Would you like to be valued in your weight of your body to be eaten by people? Would you like to be bred and your babies sold to others? Is this really what God would want? Look into finding other businesses that will feed your bank balance and your heart.
