Hello Snorky watching from Canada. I just purchased a 2014 note and replaced both front struts rear shocks and brakes all around. All my work passed cert except because the front had a tiny fender bender the shop replaced 1 lower control arm. My thoughts as to when horizontal bushings should be tightened is as follows. Leave the bolts just loose with all four wheels on the ground and then tighten the bushing bolts. This is the neutral position and when the suspension moves up and down the twisting is equal, with no twisting when on a flat surface. Craig from Canada.

if by that you mean the bolt that took forever to come it is 34 Ft/Lbs it doesnt need to be really tight as the bolt being there is what holds the ball joint in place - the nut just needs to keep it there...

Hi, I'm going to replace both front arms this weekend. Can you tell me what size sockets/spanners I will need? I will definitely get two new nuts and bolts for the ball joints also. Thanks in advance. Good vid, reckon I will manage the job.👍

none of the bolts are particularly big - I think the biggest was 14 or 17mm. Any good socket set will be fine. As always having a set of combination spanners AND a socket set helps a lot. If you dont have them you could buy both from somewhere like amazon for much less than it would have cost you to have this done at a garage. I suspect to have both arms replaced at a garage would be £200-300 at least .
