  • Loren Lockman runs the largest water fasting retreat in the world located in Costa Rica. He has guided thousands and thousands of people through 21+ day water fasts. To me he is one of the most important people in the healing community as there is no deeper and natural way of regenerating the body and healing disease then with water only fasting. We did this interview shortly after I broke my own life changing water fast. Here Loren talks about his history being a very Long term Raw Vegan Fruitarian and all the ins and outs of water fasting.

I’d be interested in the type of water you’ve been consuming during the fast (filtered/distilled/…). Much love & thank you for being brave and sharing it with the world so others can get inspired and hopefully make changes as well 🙏🏼🌟🤍

    Great video. I followed a similar path to you. Juicing helped me get off my SAD diet, so it served its purpose. But taking it to the next level was when I discovered Loren all those years ago.
    But I see you are still advocating juicing on your channel. It must be difficult because you are known as Jeff "Juices" but do you yourself still Juice despite Loren's views?

    • @jeffjuices
      @jeffjuices  Před 2 lety +9

      Thanks for the comment. Ian. I personally think that juicing still has its place in healing. I didn't get everything I was looking for with my first water fast. And I am still very far away from being completely healed. My digestion is not super great still and in that sense water fasting did not help my digestion as much as it helped my detox other things. I will probably need to do several more water fasts. And in my case juicing is still really valuable. Until I am in perfect health, I will probably use juicing. Once I have healed I dont think juicing will be necessary.

      @@jeffjuices I agree with you water fasting is great has its place for purifying the body and also for addressing mental issues . But I just think the juices because of the unique nutrition it bring is so valuable for alot of people. Especially the vegetable juices promoting our systemic and metabolic enzymes

      @@jeffjuices The problem is juice diet and fasting are good to detox and increases self healing process but it doesnt do any good for the important microbiome because it need fibers on the long term to improve and be healthier.

    May I ask about kidney filtration as per Dr Morse and the release of mucoid plaque thru water fasting? Is the kidney filtration sediment necessary? To get well? Or is it as Loren says, if your kidneys weren't filtering you would be a goner and that it's really the cesspool of waste in your colon causing malabsorption and therefore responsible for our poor health? I tend to think Loren is more knowledgeable although Dr Morse claims to have helped heal 50,000 clients over the years. I like them both and am once again on another round of herbs from Dr Morse but am I spinning my wheels? Does Loren test your electrolytes at Tanglewood or do u get that test beforehand? I'm feeling so confused as to how to proceed. I am female, 64yrs, 5'8" and under 100 lbs, followings an 80percent raw Vegan diet. I weighed more before diet but was always thin much like you. Thank u.

      ive heard loren say they test electrolytes during fast. Have not been able to find any first hand testimonials on prostate cancer in any of the dr morse platforms,..im also wary of the herbs as dr morse has recently had medical intervention for kidney stone/s recently. I have also heard loren talking about herbs as toxic. but the comparison of the 2 protocols is interesting

    I completely disagree abt his thoughts on dryfasting. Dry fasting is a powerful tool, however, like with any tool, it's how it's used and implemented, that is the key. It's how you prepare and go into a dry fast that matters. What the diet is like, how hydrated you are on a cellular level, how clean the bowel is is important..and learning to extend the time, every time, only in small increments, when the body is ready for it. I find water fasting much harsher on the body. I did a 9 day water fast and I felt like I was dying lol. Vomiting, fatigue, heart palpitations, constant nausea. I find dryfasting much easier and far more efficient, but one must prepare for it well enough. I agree with some of Loren's ideas, but I also find him a bit narrow-minded and dogmatic in his thinking.

    • @jeffjuices
      @jeffjuices  Před 2 lety +4

      thanks for your opinion. I will have to disagree. You had all those symptoms when you water fasted because you were detoxing. the root cause of disease is dehydration due to toxicity, deficiency, and eating a cooked and dehydrated diet. Dry fasting completely goes against common sense. the body needs water to eliminate waste. Dry fasting only dehydrates people even further. And most people who dry fast, and then go and water fast, are the MOST dehydrated people of all the people who come to fast. Its common sense. In my opinion. Water fasting is much harsher on the body because it is actually working to cleanse the body and eliminate waster. Detoxing chronic disease does not feel good and was never meant to be smooth and clean. If dry fasting worked. People like Loren would be using it over water fasting. It doesnt work. It makes your body more dehydrated an prolongs healing. And it would be safe to say that it damages the kidneys even more then if you had done nothing. The kidneys need water to filter effeciently. Anyway. Thanks for your opinion.

    • @Julottt
      @Julottt Před 2 lety

      Dry fasting is more confortable simply because it is less efficient at self cleansing and self healing because the body desperately need water and try to get it from the body tissues constantly instead of detoxing and cleanse deeply.
      Water is very important cleansing processes and elimination.
      No benefit in dehydrating the body and we are not camels, it is essential to understand this.
