idk what happend but during my 20th attempt on beating messmer, on his 2nd phase, on one of his attacks he just jumped straight outside of the arena, he fucking killed himself. lmao
Tip for Mesmer if you struggling and are okay with using summons if you progress Ymirs questline you can summon Jolan inside of the arena to help you (Ymir is at the Cathedral of Manus Metyr in the top right btw)
Pro tip for anyone stuck on Messmer Siluria's Tree and a tanky summon cleave through him on a strength dex or strength faith build. The range helps a lot with his attacks
In case anyone needs to know, u can scarlet rot him. Also lightning and frost does hella dmg. I let my mimic handle scarlet rot incantations while i did lightning dmg
Messmer was a pain in the ass cant believe fromsoft was planning to have a third phase for this guy if im being honest it feels good to finally have my ass kicked last time i was this pissed was since sekiro 5 years ago
I beat messmer pretty easily, surprisingly if I'm being honest. Took about 4 tries of just trial and error but I equipped the great rune sword and the fingerprint shield and summoned my mimic immediately stepping through the fog and then just blocking once messmer closed the gap between us and his throne. I had Lions Helm, Lions armor, alberichs bracers, fire prelate greaves, starscourage heirloom, prosthesis-wearer heirloom, arsenal charm, erdtrees favor +2, I would trade off hits with messmer when he focused on me and my mimic normally would use the great rune weapon special and once messmer turned his attention to him I'd repeat the great rune sword special and so forth. Just need to watch that grab with his hand where he impales you in the air.
I beat Mesmer and kept running thru the ruins until I found a platform with a 2nd dancing lion but I don’t know where to go from there. I beat the second one and there’s no grace or road as the fight was on a platform in like mid air, the only way to go is backtracking.
I used the bloodhound blade on Mesmer i buffed it with blood grease, the trick is just learning to dodge his 2nd phase. And don't get gready, hit and run hit and run and you'll get him

Now what do I do after this? I've explored the entire map up to Messmer, already beat this boss, now idk what to do. I expected a door after Messmer or something, idk
I found Messmer after the update and was dead in five seconds. Waited two days and came back and beat him in four or five tries with a slightly different approach so it might have just been you approaching with fresh eyes.
To anyone stuck on Mesmer, YOU CAN DO IT.
I destroyed him with the execution sword under a minute lol😂

He is absolutely not anywhere near Malenia a fun and really cool fight but he doesn't even have two health bars i struggled alot more with Rellana
Took me 3 attempts on Melania and 30 something on messmer
Melenia was way easier than mesmer.
Using mimic at messmer second phase just make me feel like i've summoned mahoraga

I just use mimic tear bc I got that summon and it is kinda horrible

People complaining about him being hard are probably going in with no consumables, buffs or spirit ash or npc summons.

In the rot swamp? There should be a lever by that wall.
6 tries and I beat him! No shame in Fingerprint Stone Shield, Mimic Tear, Summons and a LOT of patience

Pass the church where you killed the bug and you'll get to the tree. Burn it and you'll teleport to the final dungeon.

Beat messmer on third try....hardest boss so far was petruscent knight
You dont have to go here just go back to the first boss at the castle and burn the shawdow thorns

That's the most difficult part. I would suggest taking it slow on that part and try defeating enough enemies to pass safely
