How to fix the Braun series 3 razor, after the trimmer attachment, falls off, due to sonic weld failures. Superglue the sonic weld points and reinstalled the spring
I cannot believe other people have also had the same issue. I thought I was the only one. You are a legend sir, you're still helping people out in 2021.
Thank you sir from the bottom of my heart.Your video saved me 110 EUR=122 $ for a new shaver.I changed the accumulator and didn't know how to fix this spring. After corona I lost my job and I have to save every cent.Much love from Nuremberg,Bavaria,Germany.God bless you! ❤
My son was shaving for the first time and of course got to fiddling with this thing and of course he popped it off and the spring was out and I had no idea what to do. Your video saved the day! Thanks so much!!!
Lifesaver. Thank you. Accidently dropped my shaver and the thing fell apart. I didn't even realise that spring was holding it all together! At first I thought it was a paperclip or screwdriver you were using, then I looked back to the scene and found the spring! My DIY skills are not great, so took me a few tries but eventually I got it. Success.
Thanks for posting this video! My trimmer snapped out from the shaver and the spring was laying there and I didn't know where to put it back. I watched your video, put back in the spring and snapped the trimmer back into place. Without this video I would have had to buy a new razor.
Yes! Thank you! I was able to follow your words and video actions, and pop it back together, on my first try! Thank you, so much! I may barely be above the US federal poverty level, now, and really couldn't afford to buy another razor. You are now a hero to me. Thank you for posting this! :D
Thank you so much for posting this. You’ve saved me the cost of a new shaver which I was literally just about to purchase online! Such a simple fix too!! You sir, are a star!! 👍
Brilliant... Thank you very much. After watching your video I was able to reinsert the spring and complete the assembly in less than 3 minutes. 🤘 Even the Braun support site talks about replacing the spring by watching the "video below", and then there's no video. Cmon, Germany.
Thank you for posting your video it saved me a lot of time. The sideburn trimmer came off yesterday when I was cleaning it and couldn’t figure out how to put the the spring back together. Thank you!
I had even deeper issues as the trimming blade broke off a long time ago. I had it held together with tape. It worked but got clogged with whiskers. When cleaning it out, 2 pieces fell out. You didn't address that, but I could see from your video where at least one piece went in. I figured out the other piece myself. And, although I could see how the spring fit into the 2 little holes, I had no idea how to get it together. You saved me. Thanks.
I ran into a similar issue. When it is apart, I would recommend adding superglue to the top of each plastic weld, to superglue the black piece (Cross like area arms) to the case as the stubs holding this piece are very weak and often fail, and then very carefully hot glue the black and blue piece together where the recessed ark is (making sure the glue does not drip through the gap) and ideally leave for a day for the glue to set. Before you do all that though, it would be a good idea to pull out some compressed air and tweezers and 'carefully' clean the hair out as the springs and cutter will be clogged up, thus reducing performance. It is a shame Braun does not sell replacement long hair trimmers as these are made pretty crappy.
Thank you so much brother. I've been trying to figure this damn spring out for a month. Found your video finally this morning and within 3 minutes of finding it had my Razor fixed. Well done sir.
Brilliant - exact same thing happened to my Series 3 - thought there'd be no chance of a CZcams video fix - but I was wrong! ...cheers mate...saved me a few bob! :)
Cool! Thanks a BIG lot for your kind service, mate! That tricky little spring does the trick! You tutorial did save me quite some nerves, time & bucks.
👍Отличное видео, при чистке отвалился триммер и упал на пол, а прижинка улетела, установив триммер - он не фиксировался. Но ваше видео сильно помогло! Спасибо! 👍🤝
This is great, but how did you get the effing trimmer assembly off the body of the shaver first? I have the whole shaver apart except I left the motor in. I can't see how to get the sliding piece off without breaking it! Did you have to take the motor out to get to some fastener underneath it?
I was able to get it off finally. For anyone else having a problem, I slid it up all the way, then gingerly used a credit card to get under it from all around, gently prying to get the credit card to catch on the nibs that are holding it on. The card is flexible enough that it should not break anything. Then I replaced it with the spring instructions. Thanks for the video.
mruberg1, you have my greatest appreciation. if we should ever meet, you will be carried shoulder high. your feet to never know uneven ground again! thank you from the heart of my bottom
Good sir thank you sooooooo much for this video! I knew this probably happened often and you. It only proved it but solved it! Much appreciate your help with this tutorial!
It's a shame I can't find this trimmer anymore. They've stopped making them! I'm having to bolt the blades back on mine. (Dropped it and the blades came off the trimmer) but I never knew about this spring. Mine didn't have this part, if it's supposed to be there maybe mine somehow got shipped without it, very handy to know! I intend to make this repair available to everyone if it works well. :)
I cannot believe other people have also had the same issue. I thought I was the only one. You are a legend sir, you're still helping people out in 2021.

This has helped me twice. Cuz after 6 months I dropped it again & forgot how it went back together. But thank you for your help.

Great video. Fixed the detached trimmer spring in approximately 2 seconds. Thanks.

Thank you so much MAN.... finally I was able to assemble my razor......
Just want to say - thank you! You helped me a lot today.
This vid helped me too. Seems that the vibration of the trimmer tears itself apart. Needs a design change to make these 'welds' stronger.
