Guys..Uninstall any battery saving app like Clean Master, Du-Battery saver etc. It will
work after that. You will be able to change app permissions after
that.(Atleast for One plus 2 user)

Please don't mind, but my question is how to remove this (screen overlay detected) message permanently form my phone.
According to your video we should every time go to safe mode and change the permission and every time we should restart the phone when i need give the permission to any application.

I want another thing.. Sir... In J7 2016.. There is no option to see contacts with different category. For eg, earlier I was using Grand 2 and there was so many option like import.. Export... Contacts to display... But in j76 with marshmallow 6.0.1 there is a single list of contacts with no distinction.

Safe-Mode reboot directions you gave doesn't work for Samsung Note 5!
by pressing off button I got a option down reboot I pressed it then I didn't get anything on display it is blank then I turned on again I got same problem screen over lay

Try to clear all apps and try to open. Sometime it does work.

This video helped me a lot. I tried other methods but it was the SAFE MODE method that really helped. The problem is that it worked for the first time and after that it's not working anymore. When I try to go back to give permissions to other apps using SAFE MODE it's not working like the first time. Please help me.

+Bhargav Singla under settings, there should be section which shows list of all installed apps. The name can be different based on the operating system you are running..
in letv there is no option like safe mode.

+sorour ahmadi do one thing.. If you have any memory cleaner apps then kill all apps.. Then go to setting's apps and give permission to your app.. Also i am just curious to know that in safe mode.. When you are in safe mode are you able to give permissions to the apps ???

i didn't know this option before >>hold on power off button >> hold on power off for 2 sec and (reboot in safe mode ) will appear

Thanks dear....... I have read you article and got the solution. I have downloaded load go ibibo app and it was requeting for permission. Generally all apps want this but some how I manage to get rid of this problem but this time it was like headache for me. The best thing to do is to switch off or restart your phone.

Now how do I get all my apps back? Starting my phone in safe mode screwed me up bad. When I restarted my phone in regular mode, most of my icons were still missing.
+Janet Hanes it should be not like this. Upon exiting from safe mode all apps should come. Try to boot normally.

Follow these steps,
1. Use app switcher button and close all the running apps
2. Use any Memory/RAM cleaner based apps and kill all the apps running on memory (user apps)
3. Now go to settings, under apps look for your app and click on it. Under permissions try to give the needed permissions.
4. If step 3 didn't worked then, after step 1 reboot the phone. Then follows step 2 & 3.
5. If still the problem didn't solved, then try to uninstall any recent apps after installation of which you found the screen overlay detected.
Note : This is not a universal method, so there is no guarantee it will work on all brands, but it does worked on many handsets.
