Cecil voice does not come from a human throat. It comes from the depths of a crack in earth's surface, a canyon in the center of the desert that surrounds Night Vale. A gorge so deep that at its bottom, there is nothing. An endless nothing, the forever going darkness of the void.

In an earlier podcast he mentioned he has a dog (when he's thinking about the dog park and how he'll never take his dog there) but his dog has never been explored or named.

When Cecil and Carlos stared dating i was soo caught off guard. It just a fluid non issue, that enriches the story. I think that how acutal life should be!

this is so interesting getting into this fandom literally 7 years after it started and realizing how much they did for representation. Like, listening through now for the first time, I don't blink twice with Cecil and Carlos' relationship, but I guess 7 years ago it must have been amazing to have that represented in media when it had happened very rarely before

It's weird to see their faces while they talk.
I'm new in the Night Vale world and I must say, I have never been so impressed by a series of any kind too easily. That is, until a friend played the first two episodes. 88 episodes later, and I still have a little catching up to do! Dear lawd, thank you for Cecil Baldwin and his red wine voice. I also want to thank you for Dylan Marron and his sweet-as-candy voice.
*"...when she touched the flamingos"* and *"...also dog food"* really caught my attention because you KNOW they could mean anything.
Apparently. flamingos have some sort of ability to transport Erika places between dimensions or something, but are they live flamingos, plastic flamingos, are they even flamingos as we know them?
Plus, Cecilos doesn't have a dog in the podcast...that we know of. Of course, who knows what the dog food is for. Khoshekh seemingly lives at the radio station, at least up until this point, but he might go home with Cecil. He might be able to pop in whenever he wants to and pop back to the station. He might eat anything at all or he might eat nothing. Cecilos MIGHT get a dog. People in Night Vale might consider dog food a delicacy to be enjoyed only on special occasions...
Or maybe dog food is the key ingredient in a special ritual to only be conducted during days with the letter "e" in them, while standing in front of your house, wearing parkas and inner-tubes, as you throw cinnamon-scented potpourri at the windows and doors.

Cecil and Dylan put into words what I love about the representation in night vale. Thank you so much, what you said is so important, yet is still something that no one ever talks about. This is why I love welcome to night vale.

I just finished the novel (SOOOO GOOD AhHhHhHhHhHH) and reviewed it on my channel... I'm in that weird emotional space again where I'm thanking my lucky stars that I found this podcast a year ago and had my world rocked. (Why do we thank the stars? Do they need our thanks? Is the world actually rocking, or is that just me?)
