Saya sokong Goh Jin Wei. Sebenarnya Goh ada alasan yang sah dan kukuh untuk rayuan. Goh sedang dalam proses baik pulih selepas pembedahan besar, oleh sebab itu tidak mampu mengikut latihan BAM yang lebih ketat, tidak mampu juga menyertai pertandingan yang terlalu banyak. Goh memilih menjadi pemain professional kerana Goh boleh mengadakan program latihan dan menyertai pertanding mengikut keadaaan kesihatannya. Yes, it is a very terrible system that the national team are responsible to train up the player but the player can decide where they want to go when they are matured. No such thing in Korea, Japan and China

The honor of representing the country and achieving any form of success is shared among the country. The only reasons that could be explained with regards to situation like this is BAM having a powertrip with control over player, or that BAM as a organisation and its usual corrupted officials and execs could lose out of potential cut from prize money since these independent players are no longer directly under their contract.

Seems like what happened in BAM is like opening up a can of maggots. There’s a reason why so many coaches left to other countries to coach. And now following the independence of GLY & CPS there’s more players willing to step out now. At this point in time there is definitely something wrong in BAM, hopefully there’s a thorough investigation in them. But knowing it’s Malaysia, sorry to say, my hopes aren’t high for it to happen.
CPS is a weird example because he ended up rejoining BAM. More players have actually been dropped from BAM than they have resigned. I don't think any doubles players quitting right now will put them at an advantage compared to singles. No such thing as a Dubai doubles training camp after all!
@@thebestbees Ong and Teo were dropped not resigned. They are doing well but it would be better for them to rejoin the restructured double squad with the rehiring of Coach Rexy and the improved morale now that all doubles players train (and interact more) together. Do you notice LZJ only start to seriously consider resigning after the restructuring? It seems BAM has a worse vision for singles players than they do for doubles.
When there are people trying to pull you down, drag you down. Dont give it a damn! Just hang in there, go all out to fight for your right! Stay strong with Zii Jia!
If every professional player is resigning from BAM, then BAM has to look back on what is wrong with their own system and not to blame and penalise any of the players who is leaving the body. Otherwise, it will be challenging for BAM to retain all the talents going forward. Keep it up GJW and LZJ!!
Hello Everyone, Let's look at this objectively - The question I ask myself is "As a result of this decision, what positive outcome will come out of it? Who benefits from this decision..is it BAM, LZJ or JGW or the people of Malaysia?" Could this situation have been handled differently with different choices leading to a different outcome? According to the press conference on the Star's channel, a contract with a clause that was in violation and lots of money either through sponsors or tax payers dollars has been poured into the Malaysian badminton ecosystem to develop the players from young. In other words there has been a significant investment into player development. I can see that point. But the bottom line is now there is no representation for Malaysia coming from two superior athletes for two years at the international level. What does this mean? Sports brings people, communities and nations together. The country feels pride that one of their own has won "the big tournament" and then everyone feels proud to know that one of their fellow countryman and countrywoman put Malaysia on the world stage. With the ban, the chances of this happening are put further back ..... and who benefits from it? When LZJ won the All England, did the whole of Malaysia feel proud? I am not Malay nor do I live in Malaysia but my Malaysian friends in Canada we're super happy. Same goes for any athlete in sports. It brings the country together. Paris 2024 Olympics is in 2 years ~ could LZJ or JGW be contenders for a medal? It takes athletes at least 2-4 years of mental and physical preparation to get ready (see Greysia Polii interview on the badminton show podcast talk about this) and now effectively will the world #7 player be able to qualify for it? Will the former world junior champion be able to qualify for it? If LZJ defended his All England title back to back - will it unite Malaysians? And I am not advocating for the players to get special treatment. Yes a contract has its stipulations which are being broken and there are consequences that need to happen. I agree. But the bottom line is that nobody wins here after years of developing the players. Plus these athletes are accomplished champions maturing in their careers. So who does this benefit is the question? Maybe it's time to reflect and ask if the things are done now still serve the greater good or the national interests of Malaysia as a whole, not just BAM. Maybe we can look at other organizations and structures such as professional tennis. Maybe they could of gotten a 6 month sentence instead. Maybe a different choice would of given a more beneficial outcome for all involved, especially for the people of Malaysia. Furthermore as JGW said above, this is the skillset that she has developed and it is her livelihood (great point) - so can someone explain to me who does this benefit? What are your thoughts?

Seems like what happened in BAM is like opening up a can of maggots. There’s a reason why so many coaches left to other countries to coach. And now following the independence of GLY & CPS there’s more players willing to step out now. At this point in time there is definitely something wrong in BAM, hopefully there’s a thorough investigation in them. But knowing it’s Malaysia, sorry to say, my hopes aren’t high for it to happen.
CPS is a weird example because he ended up rejoining BAM. More players have actually been dropped from BAM than they have resigned. I don't think any doubles players quitting right now will put them at an advantage compared to singles. No such thing as a Dubai doubles training camp after all!
@@DerpyPoint Ong&teo has been doing well so far since they went independent. Maybe many are disagreeing with BAM’s training schedule.. who knows ?
@@thebestbees Ong and Teo were dropped not resigned. They are doing well but it would be better for them to rejoin the restructured double squad with the rehiring of Coach Rexy and the improved morale now that all doubles players train (and interact more) together. Do you notice LZJ only start to seriously consider resigning after the restructuring? It seems BAM has a worse vision for singles players than they do for doubles.

If every professional player is resigning from BAM, then BAM has to look back on what is wrong with their own system and not to blame and penalise any of the players who is leaving the body. Otherwise, it will be challenging for BAM to retain all the talents going forward. Keep it up GJW and LZJ!!

Hello Everyone,
Let's look at this objectively - The question I ask myself is "As a result of this decision, what positive outcome will come out of it? Who benefits from this decision..is it BAM, LZJ or JGW or the people of Malaysia?"
Could this situation have been handled differently with different choices leading to a different outcome?
According to the press conference on the Star's channel, a contract with a clause that was in violation and lots of money either through sponsors or tax payers dollars has been poured into the Malaysian badminton ecosystem to develop the players from young. In other words there has been a significant investment into player development. I can see that point.
But the bottom line is now there is no representation for Malaysia coming from two superior athletes for two years at the international level. What does this mean? Sports brings people, communities and nations together. The country feels pride that one of their own has won "the big tournament" and then everyone feels proud to know that one of their fellow countryman and countrywoman put Malaysia on the world stage. With the ban, the chances of this happening are put further back ..... and who benefits from it? When LZJ won the All England, did the whole of Malaysia feel proud? I am not Malay nor do I live in Malaysia but my Malaysian friends in Canada we're super happy. Same goes for any athlete in sports. It brings the country together.
Paris 2024 Olympics is in 2 years ~ could LZJ or JGW be contenders for a medal? It takes athletes at least 2-4 years of mental and physical preparation to get ready (see Greysia Polii interview on the badminton show podcast talk about this) and now effectively will the world #7 player be able to qualify for it? Will the former world junior champion be able to qualify for it? If LZJ defended his All England title back to back - will it unite Malaysians?
And I am not advocating for the players to get special treatment. Yes a contract has its stipulations which are being broken and there are consequences that need to happen. I agree. But the bottom line is that nobody wins here after years of developing the players. Plus these athletes are accomplished champions maturing in their careers. So who does this benefit is the question?
Maybe it's time to reflect and ask if the things are done now still serve the greater good or the national interests of Malaysia as a whole, not just BAM. Maybe we can look at other organizations and structures such as professional tennis. Maybe they could of gotten a 6 month sentence instead. Maybe a different choice would of given a more beneficial outcome for all involved, especially for the people of Malaysia.
Furthermore as JGW said above, this is the skillset that she has developed and it is her livelihood (great point) - so can someone explain to me who does this benefit? What are your thoughts?
