Love to see you kids reactions to Righteous Brothers music. Start with your eyes smiling, then your mouth breaks out in big smile, then head bop starts, then body swaying. So glad your reactions are the same 56 yrs later as back when we listened first time... Gotta love music that has this type of staying power. We have talent today but they don't rely on themselves, rely on electronics, special effect to much. And don't get me started on clothes....these boys looked good coming and going!!!! Romance is not dead, think people are out of practice on how to do it!!!! But what do I know, been married 53 yrs!!! We still have Friday night date night.

If this was before August and September, then they were will still 25. They both turned 26, Bobby on August 10th, Bill on September 19th. Both born in 1940. Bobby is gone, Bill is still singing at the age of 80. I miss Bobby so much, he was the best. And a very special man.

You have to play YOUVE LOST THAT LOVING FEELING. This one was played more times than any other song in American Radio history. No other song has surpassed it. THEY were inducted into the ROCK and ROLL HALL OF FAME in 1963.Unfortunely Bobby Hatfield passed away a few months later but he was alive to receive that honor.Bill Melody still sings and performs today yes 2022.Imagine lasting that many years singing.

I wanted to share how they got their name:
    The Righteous Brothers?
Barry Rillera, a member of Medley's band who was also in Hatfield's group, suggested they go see each other's show and perform together. ... According to Medley, they then adopted the name The Righteous Brothers for the duo because black Marines from the El Toro Marine base started calling them "righteous brothers".

You want crazy good, listen to Bobby sing "Summertime" solo. Bill "Brown Eyed Woman". Rock and Roll Heaven and Dream On. Their list goes on and on. Bill still performs to this day and his voice is more mature (he is 80). I love his voice now as much as I did back in the day or maybe even more. He does a beautiful rendition of "Unchained Melody" as a tribute to Bobby with pictures on a screen of Bobby or both. People don't understand he is paying tribute to Bobby and not trying to copy or outdo him. He also sings Rock and Roll Heaven and at the end he always sings "and Bobby has a hell of a band".

Makes me giggle a bit have to say, in spite of the depth and emotion of the song, when the camera first focuses on them and it looks like they're standing on a coffee table in the middle of a hastily vacated warehouse! What that's all about? Btw, watching your reactions, those sparkling eyes and lovely smile, I like it! ;) Never lose your enthusiasm for music, of all genres, it gets you through the hard times in life, in my experience anyway.
